Dim Minimee Update & Talk Part 1

That's a great idea, Sabriell!! We should do it!

 

People, has anyone already bought any wigs for their Minimees? I started looking, and got in trouble, because, for instance, Iplehouse SD 8-9 wigs is way too small for my Mike head. I'm already scared to go and try to get another one of this size at other shops, because I cannot afford spending extra on wigs that won't fit in the end. And I have noone to sell them to. Pleeease, could you help me figure that out?

 

It might scar you for life. xD;; I'll have a look through tonight and see if I can dig them out - I think I know which one they're in - I'll send 'em to you, but don't say I didn't warn you! Some things never make it as far as the internet for a reason. XD

They are really nicely done - not just photos stuck in, but properly printed on glossy/matt pages :3 It might be a little too formal, but it's a nice idea - my friends and I are gunna make one together so everybody gets 2 pages and we all get a copy, which is why I thought of it ^^ (Might be better to do it scrap book style if somebody is willing to collate it :3)

I'd love to participate in the project if mine have arrived by then *jumping the gun XD*

 

Yeah I was thinking when I have received all my Minimee, so maybe beginning next year??

I want to join!! What a nice gift to give someone!! it would make me tear up and feel a warm and fuzzy inside!

 

I've looked around at some Dutch shops and some have amazing things.

One book that has caught my eye is:
- A4 size
- hard cover
- 26 to 98 pages
- up to 16 photos per page
- you can put a photo and text on the cover
- different selectable backgrounds per page
- you can add text, different lettertypes per page
- the software is free [yes I can make the layout myself *YAY*]
- and I can either pick it up or let it deliver at my house.

Price:
- 26 pages is 34,95 euro
- adding more pages will be 5euro per 8 pages.


I think this looks REALLY good!
They have received 5 stars from the WINMAG for this photoalbum.

That looks good, Sabriell! I think it's a good format - getting it all printed up professionally and stuff :3 What's the minimum resolution for pictures? That was the only problem we had when we made plans for ours - cus some people use mobile phone cams etc, but it's easy to work around.

I really would like to create a classy looking photoalbum for Denny.
So lots of dark/toned down colours as back ground and classic looking fonts.

I would like to add the name of the doll, owner, country and some more info next to the photos.
Maybe with some extra written things like poems or "thank you" notes/letters ^_^

Yes, I will definitely have her in time for the meetup. I did not think there would be any way that I would, so I'm just amazed that she is coming so fast! One of the heads might be off getting a faceup, but I will have at least one with me


I love the idea of the bound books with pictures for Denny! I'd be in if someone wants to do that!

I'd love to participate in the photobook project for Denny.

Here's my input for this cool endeavor:
We should perhaps start a separate thread for this where people can join us on this.
They can post their best pics of their minimees there.
Those who chose to participate can divide the cost of the book so the cost doesn't fall on one person.
We should even give a generous deadline for participants to complete their minimees with the face-ups and costumes.
Remember, the more participants, the fatter the book for Denny...this would be an awesome keepsake for him!!
Sabriell, you are so smart...you have such awesome ideas!
So let's get the word out and see what other minimee owners think of this!!

Good idea; where should we put the thread though? Pic requests or in the Games forum? It doesn't really fall into either catagory, but I dunno which would be better... :3

 

when would this deadline be!? December? Janurary? Feburary?

And how many dolls can each Individual submit!!? {Sab. already wins for the most! )
