Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023.       I'm very happy with my (september 07) minimee head, it's a gorgeous work :aheartbea :aheartbea :aheartbea !!
      but i have a question here ...
      I've tried my head on several bodies, and I have trouble with 2 points :

      -the shoulders, 15cm is not enough ... so I have no choice but take a 70cm body with 16cm shoulders width.

      - the neck : the hole in the head is not deep enough, so I have to carve it or shorten the neck, i'll try carving the head inside first because I don't want to damage the body if I can avoid it.

      do you have the same trouble ? and how do you solve tham ?

    4. Yeah, Vincent's head hole is too small as well. I even ordered the minimee body in hopes that this wouldn't happen. According to DIM, the heads on a minimee are susposed to be 10-10.5cm, and the minimee body is 10-10.5cm as well...but he still looks like a lollypop. I was wondering if I should sand down the head or the neck myself.

      I 'm thinking of adding polymer clay inside the head and enlarge the head hole during the holidays...
      if it's sucessfull, i'll post some pictures :)

    6. Where are you adding the polymer clay? I don't get this. Please, post photos, I would love to find someway to make Vincent look better, before I resort to getting him a 70cm body! My wallet cant take much more of it! *_*

    7. You know, especially with Denny's new rules on celebrity sculpts, it would be nice to see more "original character" type Minimee group orders. Not so much someone's precious personal character. But a random character a group decides on that just isn't seen very much in the bjd market. Like a person with modded cat/fox ears. Or horns. Or an insect-like character. One with a bunch of eyes and antennae. That would be awesome!

      I dunno. :P I have all the creativity of a dead slug and it would be nice to have a Minimee group order of something different and unique.

    8. Lycansea: I wanted to run some animal group orders, but no one showed interest - then the rule for no animal minimees was passed. It would have been cool to have people decide upon a style (cute, gothic, highly anthro etc) and get some pictures drawn up and the heads made T_T;

    14. They did do the horns, so I don't think it would be too much trouble to cast a head with the peg holes for say.. cat ears (wouldn't it be awesome to have interchangable ears with pegs? I think it would..). I know that when I've gotten a minimee based on a drawing it's been dead on- so if you get some nice sketches, I'm sure you could pony up a group order in the marketplace!

      You know- a sculpt with a third eye would be awesome too- but not like the lati one- maybe a girl (like 3 X 3 eyes)?

      Agh, I can't wait for January. Then I can order another minimee.

    15. ^_^ Yeah, my MNM Baios has horns and he's pretty rockin'. I do agree with you, Lycansea, I have a couple celebrity Minimees (I've been attached to Yoshiki and hide for over a decade XD) but it's the more original ideas that I find appealing. I really enjoyed seeing how the Minimee sculptors took my drawings and interpreted them into a 3D sculpt and I'd love to try that again. XD
      Denny!! Gimme a tan resin!! XDXD I've got a great villian character that has a large scar that runs from his jaw, up his cheek and to the inside corner of his eye. I think he'd make a super awesome sculpt, but alas, the character has dark skin!! T3T

    17. I agree... tan skin, or even just a darker normal skin. The normal skin girl I have is still extremely pale compared to most!

    19. Agreed on the tan skin. @_@ I like my characters looking like they go into the sun often... (I even draw tanned vampires... O.o) tanned minimees would be awesome.
