Dim Minimee Update & Talk Part 1

Yeah actually the Dim love boy body doesn't really suit my chara T_T
I prefer the Iple body T_T Looking at Loki's boy, the proportion is perfect!
My chara needs a buffier body T_T I'm really in love with the Iple buff body T_T

My order is gonna be in the new minimee head batch, so what's the best solution then? Should I just buy the white skin iple buff body then blushed it to match the head? White skin might be better since we can easily give a colour that we want to match the head? Or NS?

 

well, best of luck to everyone who's bought already, or who's thinking of purchasing one in the future, on finding a good match for body proportion and resin match... I'll be trying to decide between Iplehouse model type or the DIM body... since Iple nearly matches, but that model body seems to have good poseabilty, or the DIM as it could cover what I want with the posing, if not as pretty as I'd like.

 

I've ordered a normal skin Dollshe body, I might need to mod the neckhole a bit to make the head lower on the body, but I'm sure it won't be a problem...I hope haha

 

It would probably be easier to shorten the neck.

 

I don't think so, because everytime when I see a MNM head on a Dollshe neck, the head doesn't look like it's 1 with the body, and I really hate that look XD
So I'll be modding the heads, this way I can also use the original Dollshe head that comes with it.

Whatever works for you. Just keep in mind that there isnt very far to go with the neckholes. You can only remove so much resin before the hole is too big and the head falls to the shoulders.

georgia - I'm not sure what tone the new Minimee resin is (not very familiar with DIM dolls in general), but I can't imagine it'd be massively more pale then the original tone, which was already quite pale.

And, er, besides... Iplehouse does not as yet make the buff body in white skin. It's only available as Normal Skin (which is already very pale by my estimation).

I've got no idea if the new resin colour would match the Ipple skintone well or not. ^^;

I just wanted to note that I found it impossible to make it look right (80% realistic on Dollshe body) without shortening the neck significantly. I think I took about an inch off before I was happy, and he's still got a proportionately long neck.

Kieko, I think the White skin ones would work with most white skin, I would definitely think it would work with DIM's WS bodies.

 

I WANT ONE OF SEPHIROTH!!! If I had the money I would order both head sculpt and body. Sometimes I wish there was a body sculpt service.

Ooo white skinned. I definitely would like to see the difference once someone gets one. Problem is that the majority of my characters have various shades of darker skin... making dolls out of them is hard! XD;;

Yeah I checked the Iple's website and the buff body is only available in NS T__T Hmm but judging from your pic, the colour is very pale almost white O_O
Perhaps it's still possible to blush the body to match the head ^__^

 

weeeellll.... Denny says he's going to have the new resin pics soon, so maybe you can figure it out from that? I'm happy to give you comparison pics of the Iple body next to my Volks NS/BW, CP NS or whatever if it'll help you figure out if it matches or not.

If the new resin changing to match the CURRENT DiM resin, you can see how DiM compares to the old MiniMee in luckymirai's post here, and, although it's a bit hard to judge from the photos given Bowie's blushing (;D), the head looks paler then the body. I'd say the Iplehouse body may be a bit pale next to the new colour which is more bright and pinky as Denny says. You could potentially blush either one to get them to match however, with luck. However, if the new resin changes mean a pinker NS, then maybe the BW would match the NS Iple? Something to think about anyway.

Hi Everyone...I jumped on the Minimee bandwagon.

After stumbling upon SassyStrawberry's amazing girl, I researched where she had got such a lovely mold and then discovered it was a Minimee!!

Then I found the Minimee discussion thread and basically had a coronary after seeing such extraordinary sculpts...this is a dream come true for me!!

After trying to find ways to find $$ for my prospective Minimee, I sold a few of my dolls. Then I sent Denny some pics of my dream girl, put my order in and now the wait is on!!

The person I have in mind is a famous 1980's actress/model/international sex symbol who, in my mind, is the most beautiful woman in the world.
I will not state her identity now but will post her preview sculpts here when Denny sends them to me. Then I'll let you guess who she is!
