Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     2. iamsiam71: SassyStrawberry's girl was the first minimee I saw as well, and after seeing her, I had to find out more about minimee's!

      I'm waiting to see the new resin colors to order mine. I'm so excited for this!

      Hopefully I will order mine next week! I have all the pictures figured out, and I think I'm finally getting ideas on bodies that could work. :sweat But the body has to fit a certain look, and it was hard to find one, let alone one that could match the new minimee resin.

      I just need to see the resin colors, so I can know if I need to go with white to match the resins, or if I can go with NS, and have a close match.

    4. Oh, I am so excited about this...now comes the search for the perfect body..
      I'm wondering if I order a Domuya Flexi Perennial Doll and swap the head would that be a good fit?
      Also Iplehouse has a nice lady doll body, too.
      I would the head to be NOT TOO big on the body. I want the doll to have realistic proportions...
      This is too exciting!!!

    5. I think the next batch of heads will not be as big as what is now know as the "April large head batch". I was also considering a Domuya Perennial body for my minimee, but I think the Domuya resin will be much darker then the color of the new minimee heads, but we really won't know until Denny posts pictures of the new resin colors. If you went for white skin on the Minimee and the domuya body, that should work

      I think I'm having the same body dilemma as you! Lol, not to mention I have a very specific look I need to obtain with the body for my minimee :doh

      I absolutely can't wait to see what the new resin colors are, because I'm ordering mine as soon as I see them!

    7. Yeah. Hehe. It's probably for the best that you can't do that when ordering though. For the sake of the head. It might be harder for Denny's sculpters to put together a cohesive sculpt. It'd be horrible if you ended up with a Van Gogh as opposed to the person you requested! :lol:

    8. Very good point. Didn't think of that before.

      So far, I think the heads look neat, but a bit too realistic for me. I think I'm gonna stick with stalking through other BJDs for my character.

      It's always the nose, though. I can never find the perfect nose. I can find so many lovely eyes and lips. (And I found a few bodies I like)

      But the nose on every single male BJD I have seen so far is just too pointy. Or the nose bridge makes a "l" shape with no curve to it. I like the female noses better, but it is hard to find female heads to fit on the male bodies I want.

    9. They are very realistic. However, I believe that Denny offers to do them in BJD style - around a 60% realism factor, I believe. Minimee is the perfect choice to get your dream/perfect doll. The head is sculpted just for you, to your specifications.

    10. Lycansea, you can request a more BJD look to a minimee head. They don't have to be based off a real person or anything. I just ordered a minimee to be sculpted from a drawing of mine, so it'll look rather anime-ish. ^_^

    13. I think Picasso would be a better reference. Van Gogh was actually quite good with portraits, albeit colorful with rather thick, impasto paint, they did have a pretty good likeness to the subject.

    16. Hmm, but I want two different eye styles. One with large, open eyes, and the other more tender-like.

      I wonder if it would be possible to get a sleeping head and mod the eyes? And not have them look funny? I'll have to look at different peoples mods of eyes...
