Dim Minimee Update & Talk Part 1

Denny, this.. this is the most fantastic news. I can't tell you how excited I am. If I'd had the money, he would have been on my list of Minimees to get, and now I'll be getting him anyway? Thank you SO much for your fabulous choice! I can't believe my luck!

 

The Brad Pitt head sounds very interesting! Will you be able to release the picture before the order period ends for the free head with the body on September 15th? Or will it become a regular item later?

 

Dennis, i know you are incredibly busy with other stuff but, do you have an update yet on the minimee girl body??? will people who have a female minimee get the same opportunity of pricing on the bodies when you do release a girl????

 

I'm not sure if it was at DIM's website, or if Denny posted in another thread, but he said they're currently working on the minimee girl body, and it'll be a few more months. If I'm wrong, feel free to correct me.

 

I just got this from the news section at DIM.

"For female minimee owners, you will be offered for D.I.M female body in a couple of months. We are now modifying ankles and wrist of the body(Seperated ankles and wrists)"

 

yeah, there's like three minimee threads going at the same time at this point i'm hoping for any news at all.

 

I hope they do a special promotion when the girl body is finished also. Maybe an Angelina head, to match the Brad one?

 

I was just wondering for a MSD size, what female body does everyone think is best resin match? (For NS) I see alot of SD resin match threads but no MSD ones...

 

Brad Pitt head??? Oh, I want one! This whole minimee thing is really awesome. I am just blown away by how goo those heads look. Those artist have some amazing skills with carving, wow! I think that I might have to start saving for a Ville Valo doll afterall......

 

Is that for people who order a minimee by Sept 15th or for those who already ordered a minimee from an earlier period, and are buying the body now. I haven't kept track of the minimee progress very closely.....

i like the idea - it is very interesting..
maybe i will order a minimee sometimes ^^°° it would be very thrilling but i would be a little bit afraid to because you dont know how it will look when it get finish ><

 

It seems scary. But after the clay sculpt is finished Denny sends you some pictures of it. I guess you could call them proofs. That way you get to see what it looks like before it is casted. If there is anything wrong Denny will fix it for a pretty low fee. It's 50 dollars for most changes. (With something this awesome and incrediable I'd pay more for them if they were needed). So, in the end it's not that scary at all!!

 

There's already an Angelina Jolie MiniMee though, it belongs to Twigling. Sooo I'm not sure how that might work...

 

Yeah. I'm hoping Denny doesn't decide to go with Angelina. I'd feel really bad for Twigling. Her Angelina is so pretty and very special to her - I'm sure.

If you don't mind, could you please post the pic of the new resin anyway?
I need to see it for resin comparison.
If you're afraid the color won't turn up good in camera, take a pic of the resin under natural light or under fluorescent light. Perhaps it won't be 100% the same, but the result will be close enough.
