Dim Minimee Update & Talk Part 1

Just a couple of quick pics of my BRILLIANT mini-sized minimee that arrived a few weeks ago (I forgot to post them). He is based on Korean singer Se7en, and I'll post more pics as soon as he gets a face-up and his own body (he is currently borrowing a MSD Hewitt body and it's to small for him - no shoulders!).

Wow, I just bit the bullet and ordered me a Celebrity minimee. I am looking at pictures now for him, but I am having a hard time figuring out what would be best. Is it okay if I post the ones I pick out here for some advice before I send them in.......

 

Do the Minimee Love-sized heads best fit a 60 cm body or a 70 cm body?

Drowningindolls -- Hoorah!! Congrats! Sure, post away. Any pictures that show the front, 3/4 and profile views should work perfectly! ^_^

-cain- -- If you order a Minimee love sized head now, it should fit a 60cm body.
I have an April Minimee that was part of the large batch and he fits a 70cm body, but now the Minimee love sized heads will fit the DIM bodies. ^_^

Are all these neccessary? Do any of them seem unneccessary or wrong angle?










Is this too many? Several from different angles could be interpreted 2 different ways. I want to do this right.......

 

Also, I was thinking. I have noticed that some people are getting Celebrity dolls that I would like and I am sure others would to. Since It says you can get additional heads for $70, would anyone want to do a plac where people can sell additional heads to others for $100 plus shipping. That would be a great deal, the person doing it would make some money for their effort, and that would save the expense of having a hwole duplicate head done, and save wear and tear on the sculpters so they run out umph and desire before everyone can get their dolls. Just a thought. I know I would be happy to order additional head after mine gets here for others. I don't feel like I have exclusive rights to Ville. :P

 

I've discussed this briefly with Denny, it is ok so long as not too many are made...because the Minimee's are not supposed to be mass-produced dolls.

I wonder how Denny would feel about using his sculpting team to make a more mass produced head, which is 'designed by the customers'?

I don't think I will be able to do my Minimee group order now, I have a fulltime low paid job now.

 

drowningindolls: Depending on how my minimee preview pics come out, I might get an extra head when he's cast, to sell on. But then again, since this doll is being made just for me, I sort of want to keep him just to myself *selfish, hehe* So I honestly don't know if I'll want to do it yet XD

As for the photos you've chosen, they're good! The last two are especially so, though you may want to find even bigger copies. Denny will probably want one or two more direct front-on shots, too.

Drowningdolls: isn't that guy from A Clockwork Orange? O.o I never thought about him before...

oh. well then he looks like the main guy from A Clockwork Orange. my bad lol... I don't listen to "HIM" although I've heard of them.

 

A Clockwork Orange? Never seen it. *goes to IMDB* Ahh. That's why. I tend to prefer to let 70's cinema stay in the past...

And that's no problem - I wish I'd thought to post my pics here, I had an awful time making my mind up on them @___@ But Denny was brilliant, and asked me for a few more from certain angles when I did send them, so it all worked out fine :3

Kazzii - Kyo, awesome! He's gonna make a great doll. I was wondering if that was who you were getting. I am dying to see that one as well!

Sabriell - wow, you are making your own army. I can't wait to see group photos of all of the lovlies!

 

I really hope the project is still running when I have the cash to place another order. I still need one of Harris and I have a sort-of celebrity in mind.

 

I hope it is up and running for a while longer too. I'm saving money for my second Minimee. After I order this one, I'll be able to die a happy man.

Kazzii: KYO? AWESOME. XD I was planning a Kyo doll for sooo long. He's not going to be a Minimee though.. just because I can't afford another one [right now]. ;XD I think I'm gonna use BF Kyle. He's got a great apathetic look, even if he will be an MSD..

 

Also: Oh my god, I hope it's up for a while too, or else I'll be left trying to make my next celeb head myself. XD That doesn't prove good at all!
