Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     2. I love this idea with making individual sculpts~~its great :) While im not interested in getting a BJD that looks like me, i'm hoping that maybe in the future it will be possible to design your own doll?
      I LOVE to draw and would be interested in being able to design my own doll, make the sketches and drawings of how the dolls nose, lips, eyes should look and so on~~it'd be awesome :)

    4. That's strange. I'd much prefer a stylized head than a realistic one. The stylized heads would fit in so much better with a doll collection.

      I also personally dislike realistic dolls, and love BJDs for their stylized appearance. As someone who has met you I thought the likeness was very good in the original sculpt.

      Still as a company you have to go with what will sell.

    5. Precisely. I personally would rather have the BJD style head, but I understand that Denny needs the example the majority are wanting more than to make me happy.

      She'll most likely be a sit-on-the-shelf doll, especially if she has a nice faceup. I've never owned a doll with a NICE faceup, and wouldn't wan to ruin it.

      My previouse E-mail was about to cancel the realistic one of you. not BJD Style. But...It seems to me that you understood upside down.
      As you liked the BJD style of you, I told sculptor to finish the work nicely.
      it was my previous e-mail. But....you are saying....opposite....I am a little depressed about it.

      I wanted to show people how the BJD Minimee can be looked like. Yes..it's true. But..I chose your feeling so I sent you the e-mail as you liked you.
      So I wanted you to be happy. that's all. but..you misunderstood.
      (please read my previous e-mail again)

      Anyway, as soon as the head comes out, I will have it make up done as special.
      So..Perhaps you will get the head in Feb with Bonus Sleeping head of you.

      No, I completely understood.

      You felt the BJD style didn't look enough like me and told me you were going to order the more realistic one instead, especially because the majority of people have been asking to see a more realistic one.

      I told you that I had liked the BJD style one a lot and thought it would be a good idea to do the BJD style one, and make the sleeping one realistic so that you could have an example of both styles ready.

      I was only a LITTLE upset because I had liked the BJD style one and it seemed a shame to have it scrapped and redone when the sculptor took such obvious pains to make it perfect and smooth.

      You said you'd cancel having the BJD style one remade and would make the sleeping one also in BJD style.

      I replied that if you want to make it realistic style that's perfectly ok becuase the majority of people do seem to want to see that instead of the BJD style.

      Its your project and very, very generous of you to be doing this.

      So I'm not blaming you for anything (as you felt in your last email) and am just as at fault for all the confusion.

      I'll try to make it as clear as I possibly can:

      I like the BJD style head.
      But realistic is ok if its best for the company.
      Make one of each (BJD style awake. realistic style sleeping.) and you'll have both for samples.

      No matter which style is chosen, I will be extremely grateful and will love the doll.

    8. what an interesting concept!
      as to realism or resinism, it's about half and half for me.
      real looking ones are amazing but i'm not sure if i'd want to scare myself with an unaging version!
      the more stylised ones i like anyway, but the more anime looking end of the scale i'm not so sure about.

      so i guess i'd have to say whatever the company thinks is best. i'd probaby get one for the novelty anyway. (and i love the MINIMEE too!)

    10. i think that sounds really interesting. i'd love to see one first though. it would help me get a feel for the style.

      overall it sounds like a unique idea, i think it could be really neat.

      I see there are some misunderstanding each other.

      To remake does not mean that your original BJD style would be distroyed.
      (I had little chat with Sculptor and our staff and I thought....it would be better for her to give what she liked...so that's why I changed mind instead of making realistic one)

      To Make realistic one and sleeping type, it takes more time and cost.
      So I hope you understand why I can't put 4 types of your heads as you suggested(BJD & Sleeping, Realistic & Sleeping) becuase the sample would be out so late and also the cost is so much bigger.

      *Your BJD Styled head in the final step and soon start the sleeping BJD head.

      I need to study more about what people are interested in.
      Until then I will not start the project.

      And I hope we both understand what we are doing and get together again with good friend.
      Maybe I am thinking too much....or working too much...haha.

      get orders are good for me...but...I really want to see people happy.
      What I Think about To make BJD is......giving people happiness and hope....etc on.
      So...I want you be happy....with this sample. that's all.
      I am just 50%....if I do this project after all or not.

      But I liked my idea to give only one original BJD Minimee in the world.
      That makes real.....meaningfulness. Only one in the world .......

      I just don't particularly find realistic dolls as esthetically appealing.

    15. is it a must that the sculptors work from photos? i have a character that im dead set on getting a doll of, and my original plan was to heavily modify an existing head, but would you be able to offer the service if i provided a TON of drawn refrances? n_n; as i want her definately BJD styalized

    16. Awww, Denny, don't be discouraged! I think you're doing a great job so far! I was considering getting a BJD of my brother since he's got a good face~ Heh.

      It seems there was a little miscommunication from both ends. I don't think you've made anyone upset, Denny. This first attempt was good and I think a lot of people are impressed. ^__^

    17. The example so far is gorgeous! I am sure that no matter the style, the head(s) will turn out beautiful if for no reason but that so much love and work went into the process! This seems to be a heartfelt project for you, and I wish you the best. This is why I would want one myself - to have something that means so much to both the artist and I. You want these dolls to be something special and they will be! :aheartbea
