Dim Minimee Update & Talk Part 1

I just have a question. I was reading the Celebrity Doll thread and noticed that you said you were going to remove Brad Pitt's name from D.I.M. I also noticed that it now says: "If you order this minimee body, you will get a "free head" in normal skin." My question is, are you still offering the Brad Pitt head and just not addressing him by name or are you offering a new head instead?

 

I know I posted this question earlier, but I think maybe it got lost . Does anyone know if the Minimee Girl bodies will be the Love body, just out of the Minimee Resin? Is there a list somewhere of resins that match Minimee Resins?

I'm trying to make arrangements for my minimee that I ordered at the end of August, and I don't know what body I want for her.

 

I would assume so. That's the case with the boy bodies. However, I remember in a news post something was said about trying to refine the wrists or ankles or something. (Looks it up) Ahh. Here we are. "For female minimee owners, you will be offered for D.I.M female body in a couple of months. We are now modifying ankles and wrist of the body (seperated ankels and wrists)."

I know that doesn't have anything to do with the resin. However I think you're probably on the right track with the Minimee female body being the standard female love body only cast in the Minimee resin tone. I hope this helps.

 

I promised better pictures of my MSD sized Minimee (based on Korean singer Se7en) when he got a face-up. Yesterday he did (curtesy of brilliant Leechy). His name is now Tao Lin Hsu and he is BLODDY GORGEOUS:

Ohhhh he is just so amazing!! I really like him with the long wig, it gives him this feeling like he lived many years ago in Korean history X3

Wow, I'll say he is!!! It's fantastic seeing these dolls that look like real faces -- the human size eyes make such a difference!!

The truly amazing part is, that he is only MSD size. It's incrediable that they have been able to make him so detailed and so like the real Se7en, when he is so small. Minimees kick butt!!! Gotta have more!

WOW yes I agree that he is msd is amazing. I would love to see pics that show the whole doll nude to see what body works.

I want a msd size head but am torn as to the resin match and the body she could use.

 

I have a question for Minimee owners... what mm of eye do you use for your dolls? I've noticed that a lot of them have smaller eye sockets then normal doll molds.

 

They say 14mm will work for 80% heads. But most asian sculpts have smaller eyes, so I´m not sure if 14mm will be too big. Also the new heads are smaller.

Anyways when I have mine I´ll try 16, 14 and 11mm ^_^

My Yoshiki wears 16mm and looks just fine even though he does have smaller eye sockets. I guess it's just your preference if you want a lot of white showing or not.

Does anyone know if the Supia resin (they are available in 5 different skintones) have a skintone that is close to the minimee resin? So far its the body that comes closest to the look I want, but I don't know if the resin will even remotely match.
