Dim Minimee Update & Talk Part 1

So, I'm still crazy excited for my little non-celebrity minimee thats a mini me. She will be my little Resin daughter! I also agree that this is the most awesome BJD project that I have seen!

Can anyone tell me what the options are for girl bodies that have a close resin match? I'm leaning in the direction of Supia (the normal resin, not the French). It seems most people have been talking about male bodies, but not many people are getting females.

 

...It'd be a while in the future if it happens. XD''''' Unless we had a really REALLY big group order. I'm afraid my funds are somewhat lacking. ._____.' But oh, MAN, would I love a dead-on-accurate Jonathan Crane dolly.....

Well keep me in mind- He has such an interestingly shaped face. I cant put my finger on what it is though. I would love to get Christian Bale- then I could do a Batman/Scarecrow combo. What body would you use for Cilian?

 

I'm also interested in this, as I'd like both a male and female Minimee but really don't want to go ahead with it until I know exactly what I'll be facing with resin matching.

Or if, even, Denny's team are still creating the female body?

Here's a photo comparison I did. I think it looks really good. I'm just a bit worried about the nose, it looks like it might be too wide, and I'm pretty sure it's just because the sculpter has the head tipped back, but you shouldn't be able to see the nostrils like such. I requested a few more pictures before I decided for or against any sort of modification. What do y'all think?

 

Oracle.. He looks incredibly lifelike! I think you're right about the nose in the fact that the sculpt is tipped back making it look wider than it is. I think proportionally it's just fine and looks like every thing's where it should be.
Is that the only preview pic you received? Usually they give you three views. =o!!

I will. XD Like many people, I'm a little defensive, myself, hoping that there won't be a bunch of Cranes running around, but I can let it go and just say spread the love. XD''''' Especially if the group order is to help bring my own Crane home. ^^

Cillian himself is a little short. XD'

But because this would specifically be a Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow doll and NOT really a Cillian Murphy doll (I'm a somewhat rabid Scarecrow fangirl XD'''''), I would go with the Dollshe body, probably, for the skinny, tall, lanky look.

Something shorter would be more appropo for a doll of Cillian himself.

 

I agree with you, Oracle. The nose is way to big. Same with you Elf Piper. They've been on big noses lately because that was a major complaint with mine Pre-Mod. However the $50 mod fee was well worth it. It almost looks like they reworked the face shape and made it thinner as well. But maybe its just the nose difference. I also asked for them to remove the smile and to make it more neutral. Here's the 1st:

What's funny about the way they did his mouth was I wasn't wanting him to be smilling, so I sent in pictures that were more.... the word aludes me. Sorry. But anyway the way they did his mouth actually looks like an expression he sometimes has, but wasn't in any of the pictures I sent in. This is probably making no sense for some reason I can't think clearly now... But I just thouhg it was really funny the way that ended up working out. I think that when he's flesh colored, has a face-up, a wig, and a body with clothes on it - it'll be amazing to have.
