Dim Minimee Update & Talk Part 1

When you hold something close to the camera lens, no matter what it's gonna get a little fish eyed if you will. When you look at the reference photos compared to the sculpt the edges of the nostrils line up where they should with the eyes and lips. I think the noses just look big cause they're the closest things to the camera lens. If whoever was photographing them just took a step back or something and used a zoom rather than putting the sculpt so close to the lens it would most likely look perfect and less blurry. XB
I'm not a professional photographer myself, but yeah. Just what I think.
Do your side photos look any better? Either of you? XD;;

 

Thanks for sharing those! That is really helpful!!! And exactly what I was trying to find the words to ask about. He looks good before the mods but really close after.

You are 100% correct -- it's kinda like looking in the back of a spoon. I didn't get a real profile preview, just the front and two 3/4 views, so a profile was what I asked for. I think that'll make it a lot easier to determine what I'm looking at.

 

That is EXACTLY what happened with my minimee preview pictures. My husband is a professional photographer, and he said that was what was going on. When I was debating if my head needed to be modified, we searched though to find a picture of me from that angle (the joys of having a photographer husband, I have tons of pictures of me ), did a transparency over the image, and low and behold, the nose matched up!

 

Kyo's nose has come out pretty big.. but I really like it! XD So I didn't ask to have it modded. And if it turns out that it's just the photograph making it seem big, that's fine :3 (though I'm actually sort of fond of it )

Kazzii - your Kyo head looks great! I don't think you have to worry about ours looking to much alike with how the mouth looks. I have never seen a resin mouth like that before. It looks good. You would think the mouth inside would look funny, but it doesn't.
This makes me even more excited for my group order pics to start coming in!

Hey, are any of these September orders by any chance? Hyde was ordered on the 4th or 5th, so I am wondering how fast we'll see those....
I am starting to get excited and impatient now. I was doing really good bfore, but now....... I am glad this is all going down with the distraction of Halloween. Now November is going to be really dificult.

 

I ordered mine on Sept 1 their time, so I guess that makes it a September order.

 

Wow, Kazzii, he looks totally awesome!! Lucky! And those vampire teeth are priceless... it totally changes the whole look of him.

Strangely, in all my searching for clothes, I haven't looked for anything like in that shoot.. o_o I need to start looking for the right wig, and shirt..! And boxers.. XDDD
