Discussion of Real Unidoll (UHr-01)

Has anyone ever actually received an email from unidoll???? I was the second person to buy a doll from them here on DoA and that was last Spring - I've never gotten an email!

unidoll's prices are absolutely standard for the industry - I don't think this boy is going to be any more or any less than other boys of this caliber, size and quality!

Still. Cannot. Wait.

That thought gives me some hope, as does the fact that I checked my bank account today (kinda like sky diving, only more scary ) and I am not *quite* as poor as I thought I was. I am not necessarily 'I can afford him' wealthy, but I am not 'OMG I'M TOTALLY TOO POOR' either.

Cautious cautious optimism....

 

The head is not bad, but not what I'm looking for. That body? Hoooboy. I'm so poor. Well, if he's limited, I'll probably end up getting it on the resale market some time from now. ^^;

I wasn't aware the Unidoll's models were limited. I saw the prices on them and assumed they were still available. The site allows me to add to cart and when I clicked check out, it asked for my info before the final step--is this right? Is this normal? Please tell me because I had my heart set on one day getting a UH-05.

 

Z- totally agree with you there on the boy! I want him to come home.....I think im going to start cooking up ideas for him in my little brain!

Me too! I just ordered Kurumi from Volks, so I'm totally tapped until, er... next year? @_@;

 

They are all limited.. but they havent sold out yet - so they are still available for purchase. I think each doll was/is an edition of 200. They havent been as widely popular as I thought they would be. I guess as time goes by - the amount of dolls and new doll makers available has increased a LOT - more dolls to go around, more variety of styles to suit different tastes - and from what I read on forums - Unidolls dont have as wide appeal as I expected (Iam very biased - I think they are great and would love many of them)

I am certainly going to attempt to get him.. I think he is sensational. To me - he is streets ahead in my own personal appeal/taste than the other really big boys out there. I wanted a really big boy - but the Hounds/ Bermans/ Model dolls just didnt appeal to me "enough" (granted I have seen some great owner pics) - so I am wrapped in this boy and his size.

Zag.. I always get the emails from Unidoll about new stuff - so not sure why you dont.
I was pretty early ordering my girl from them too. I think they were going to release on about 27th May and ended up releasing on the 26th (something like that) and I just happened to be on the site when my girl was available earlier than announced.. (I looked at the site so many times each day) so of course I snapped her up immediately - I really thought she would sell out instantly - like the Luts LE's do and I didnt want to risk even waiting minutes before I ordered and paid for her. Never regretted it for a moment.

 

I really couldn't agree with you more, Meredith! I love the Unidolls, and there's one girl there that I REALLY want, and if she hasn't sold out yet, I'm now very worried that I should get her soon, but I don't know how soon that could be. I don't understand why they aren't more popular--they are all beautiful!

I'd love to attempt to get him. I've loved him since the moment I saw him, just like everyone here, but this boy is obviously going to be in demand, and being limited like you say, I might have to miss out on this one. I definitely agree about the Hounds/Bermans/Models. The largest boy I love is Saint, but this guy is simply stunning, so I don't know what I'll do--I guess it depends on when exactly he becomes available and how much he will be.

I like him a bit, but I'm not quite sure I'm sold on him.

I'd probably have to see owner pictures. Same with other big dolls, like Hound I had to see owner pictures before I liked it.

 

I love this guy so much... I was thinking of getting a Dollshe boy eventually, most probably a Hound, but now that this one has showed up, OMG!!!

I just want to know how much will he be, lol, to see if I can pay for him. Anyway I won't be able to pay for him until February maybe... MAYBE... ;_;

 

This is a very handsome and elegant male doll.
Wish he was 60 cm, then I would definitely get him! (a bit too tall for my girls, but he will doubtless be purr-fect for those with taller scale dolls!). With that in mind, I look forward to enjoying future eye candy in the galleries when new owners obtain this boy and post pics.

I'm very impressed with Unidoll as a company, and have the highest regard for them! My own Unidoll is the 014 elf girl, and I just love her! Wonderful quality, beautiful sculpt and faceup, the resin quality is fantastic with excellent color and very luminous, just delightful in all ways.

I am sure that whoever gets this new boy will be very, very pleased with their purchase!

I was planning on getting a Dollzone boy body/girl head hybrid, until I saw this handsome fellow. He's definately going to be my tall boy, if I can find a way to get my hands on him.

 

I agree--they are fabulous dolls, and after getting my 06, Unidoll became my favorite company. I ordered mine right when they came out (I didn't even realize they were limiteds), because he was so absolutely perfect for one of my characters and was just amazed when I opened the box and saw him in person for the first time, heck I still am for that matter : )

 

Yes ... as mentioned. Each is limited to a production of 200, after which each will no longer be available. But none have sold out since UniDoll's inception yet.

I recently ordered UH-05 (she is still "waiting deliver" after 11 days), but I'd think there's every chance she will be there when you're ready!

I've liked Uni-doll for ages, but have been waiting for one that really says 'buy me'. I'm surprised how many people didn't know that the company exists, but they're getting better known now. I've seen a uni-doll in person and she was lovely. Hopefully this new doll will spark a lot more interest in the company.

Omg! He's absolutley wonderful! I think I might have to splurge and buy him when he is released..... Do you know if there will be a female to match? That body is just so gorgeous.
