Hear Hear~! I agree with you completely. Jace is beautiful... his ears are part of him, therefore, I love them ^^

 

I love his nose, too. His profile was the clincher for me. I was so afraid he would have another long, thin, pointy nose. Imperfections are what make this doll so life-like.

 

I agree with frushstick. Not that i dislike imperfections i think it makes any doll that much more human . However, everything about him is aesthetically pleasing and then you have these big ears that look really out place when you take into context facial characteristics. its quite normal for people to wonder about them. it doesn't mean he's ugly or he's imperfect but they are there and kinda hard to miss. people have different tastes and personally big ears are not my thing where as others could care less about them. it really just depends on the person and it would be interesting to know that the artist may have been inspired by a real person or an idea or maybe even his own character.

 

Well they can't be *that* obvious; until people started obsessing over them, I never even noticed them!

 

Oh wow. I would very much like him. Anyone know how tall he is?

Same here. I never even noticed his ears. And yaaay, people for thos who've ordered unblushed bodies and no faced-up heads. Or maybe I should say yaay for me. XD

 

I have to take my hat-off to Unidoll for "breaking the mold" when it come to dolls. I own a Lahoo, Camine, CH Jun, and El that have an ethereal beauty. Jace has a raw, natural beauty that I can't wait to see how he manifests himself.

It is great the way that the doll companies are beginning to recognize the growing diversity in the tastes within the BJD community. Just look at the new dolls that are entering the market. Iplehouse- Aaron, Elfdoll- new guy, etc, etc...so cool.

 

Some guys have big ears. Some guys have small ears. I have to say it's not the first thing I notice about a guy, or a doll, unless he's got a bald head or a crew cut. I may be weird but I'm just as happy when the dolls don't look "perfect". It makes them look even more like real people.

 

I noticed the ears right away, but small ears would look strange near that big nose. He really looks like a person, with just a touch of fantasy.

You know what they say..."Big ears...big...um...er...feet."

 

The human ear measures from the bottom of the nose to the eyebrow. If you trace a line across his face to these points, his ears are the correct size for his face.

 

I can care less how big his ear are, he is just too fine to over look. That body alone had me pawing at my computer screen, made my hubby a little jealous, but oh well, he is just a man doll

Yeah, my hubby's just a tad bit jealous too.

 

I think he's very pretty and certainly a boy who I wouldn't keep fettered in shirts....or much of anything *giggles*

 

I am looking forward to seeing the first batch of Jace dolls customized by their new owners. Then I might just get one too.

 

How do you think a Camine head would look on Race's hunky body?

 

I was reading the Q&A board on Unidoll, and came across this one:

I want to know whether Jace's skin is the same as your other dolls, it is still normal skin? since it looks a bit pale in your picture.

Hi~ Uni Limited and Uni Real is diffrent resin. So both normal color will be different. Uni limited is french resin which is more yellow. Thank you~

So...does that mean that our Jace is not french resin? My UH-08 is definitely french resin... I don't think I'll mind either way, but I am curious!

 

They are saying that the limited dolls (like UH-08) are french resin but Jace is not. It sounds like he will not be as yellow as the others.

 

I thought Jace looked different. I personally like 'normal' resin better, but that's just me. :3

 

because my vision of this man is a real person, not an elf or fairy or anime magician as I so often love my dolls to be, he needs resin that looks like skin. no glowy, light- refracting stuff. just skin. so, normal sounds nice.

I guess we just have to wait and see.
