I'm having a pretty bad time getting my Mano's eyes to stay in, something about his resin makes it so that all my eye putty does NOT stick, so putting his eyes in and aiming them is quite an ordeal. I've tried poster tacky and Elfdoll eyeputty so far -- I've even gone through with a fine sandpaper lightly to give the resin more tooth inside. Don't suppose anyone else has this problem? My Mano is the Beige Urethane version.

 

I had a DD doll like that and gave up on eye putty. Instead, I put a little dot of hot glue in the bottom of each eyewell and stuck the eyes in and positioned them. Then I globbed hot glue around them until they were secure. I used low temp hot glue to make sure I wasn't going to harm the resin. It was certainly more difficult than using eye putty, but at least they stay now!

I've never heard of a Mano having eye trouble, but here are my thoughts:
1. Try wiping the eyes with alcohol, just in case they have a little something on them which is keeping them from sticking to the putty.
2. You might want to carefully clean the eyewells (not getting any drips or whatnot which could screw up your guy's faceup and lashes).
3. Try some brand new poster tacky.
4. If that fails, my final trick is this (uh oh!)--
Get a roll of duct tape and cut a circle in one tiny square. Apply to the back so that you can still get light through the eyes but so that it secures the putty and gives it a bit of support. I like to run my fingernail over the tape areas which must hold, and it seems to push in the resin nicely. Hopefully now, those eyes aren't going anywhere. XD. Unlike with glue, you can still peel it off when you want to make a change, but it will not come off without a good fight!

You're my hero for just giving advice for fixing a problem with duct tape. XD

 

I totally had that problem with my 44cm Limho. D: We can't get anything to stick to him but tape.

 

I used the Luts plastilina (eye putty) in him (also a beige urethane with no sticking problems. Its more sticky than white-tac and doesn't stain. Best of luck fixing that!

 

Yuu-chan is right the best eye putty I have is from Luts, you can't beat that white plastilina it is the best

 

I have placed an update on Tanned Mano ordering in the NEWS section.

For previous owners, Limhwa and I will offer the torso at less than our cost in order to help you upgrade your boys. This will be for a limited amount of time.

I also asked her about making a Heartbreak Boy facepart for the new Mano body. She told me that she doesn't think it goes well with Heartbreak .. and sure enough, I did a Photoshop of the body with Heartbreak's face, and it doesn't look right. She plans to eventually make an Asian body for him, which completes his full look.

*fainting* Yaaaah, I did it! I really wasn't sure if I was going to plunge in and get him-- but I'm in such love with that body & that stern face, as soon as his Tan page came up, vroom, now he'll be mine. (I was waffling because I want one of those tan Soo Ri rereleases which just came out, too. 'Tis definitely the season for bronzed musclemen! )

I hadn't given a thought to how I'll get pants on his giant self, or whose clothes he'll wear & what style, how long I'll have to wait before I can give him his faceup if he arrives while the rainy season is still on, or *gulp* what his name will be. I guess I will find out when he gets here.

I hope the tan urethane doesn't have the eye-sticking problem everyone mentions. Neither of my other tan urethane dolls (Iplehouse) have that problem! But thank you all for the warning, & I'll be prepared to buy different eyeputty if it happens.

(Shame about Heartbreak Boy... but if he was available to anyone, then he'd have to get a different name, now wouldn't he? ^^)

Congrats jenny! That tan resin looks very yummy on Mano...you'll definately have to post pics when he arrives As far as the pants are concerned, a few people have found a handful of pairs that work pretty good, (4D Flax pants...though I guess they're sold out...some others as well) Personally, I'm going the 'man skirt' route at least until I can come up with a good pattern to make some custom pants.

 

HEADS UP!

We just got our store Mano from the latest shipment... it was the second Mano order. And the Sexy Muscle Chest part is coming with this second order! So if you ordered a chest part and you ended up getting it with your doll from order two (shipped direct from Korea), I will offer you a refund. If you want to buy an extra part anyway (for blushing or whatnot) I will not cancel it if you request.

We have less than 10 of these boys left. I will close the order either in one week, or if they sell out. I think I might need one too.. oh noes... everytime I see his pic my heart kind of goes *doing!~*

Hey guys!
Need a bit of help here -tried searching the forum but couldn't find the answers:

What other companies out there does Limhwa's normal beige urethane skin tone come closest to matching?
I am absolutely in *love* with the sculp of the new Limho Mano body, and wanted to see if it would match Migidoll's recent early Nov. head release.
Comparison photos would be greatly appreciated if possible!

 

Does this mean the 2nd order comes with the original Mano chest with the Sexy Muscle Chest as an additional part? Or is it coming the with SMC in place of the original chest?

 

My Mano turned up unexpectedly, this afternoon... I didn't get a shipping notice or anything, so it was quite a surprise! Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be keeping his head, as his body has been claimed by another boy already, and I am unable to afford having so many floating heads

 

In the case of our store doll, the SMC came as the default chest part. No smaller torso in the box. She has discontinued the smaller one now. That means there are very few of the more slender chest parts out there, so you guys have a really rare doll part now!

Does anyone know what the difference is, size wise, between the discontinued version of the Mano chest and the new version?

I ordered the new chest piece out of curiosity, and I ask this question with the same reason.
