Is there any hope of seeing a comparison between the normal and beauty white urethane on any of the Limhwa dolls?

 

a while ago i wanted to see the same and then found that Catrina had posted such pics in a news thread, here:

I read on the half-elf thread that the last order is expected to be finished from early to mid-January. Has anyone heard anything about when the Nov.-Dec Mano's will be complete?

 

Those orders went in within two weeks of each other. It's going to probably be coming in around the same time.. depending on what gets completed first. We'll update you when we hear any news.

I finally found this thread again...

Any Mano owners have had trouble finding wigs that fit him properly?
I've tried all the sizes I own on him, and none sit on his head correctly,
except for a very unusual faux-fur one I own. I have tried wigs in
the following sizes (varying companies, so they also vary in size a bit):
7-9 (obviously, not even close!), 8-9, 9-10. None worked so far, I was
wondering if maybe I should stick to fur, or try other sizes?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

9-10 was too big, the other size that actually goes over his head just doesn't
sit right on his head (makes him look like if he had a lump or cone-head).
His ears get on the way, otherwise it seems like 8-9 would fit him, but all the wigs
I've tried don't go down far enough to rest on his head.

Umm, anyone who is going to IDEX is in for a treat. I saw the tan Limho that Dollyholic is bring there today (I journeyed to her store to pick up a doll), and wow. Rip my eyes out and kill me he is cute. I wasn't totally in love with the white or normal skin guys, but this one, let me just say Catrina is lucky I didn't just knock her out and take him with me. Just delicious.

I really want to know how the Mano tan compares to other tans.

So using a range of tan resins.........
like Volks sunlight as one of the lightest tan resins.....Supia Tan....Elfdoll Ruru tan....CP/Luts tan....Iplehouse dark tan Cocori. Where would you put Mano on that scale?

Catrina....where would you place tan Mano....and any news?

His tan is about the same value as Supia, and only a touch warmer. It is a beautiful color, like caramel, definitely darker than Volks Sunlight. Lighter though than Cocori. He looks quite comparable to the Rosy Catrina had in the shop (like mine as well). Coincidently, I drove up there from Pittsburgh, Angelguardian.
Maybe if we beg and plead at some point Catrina could post a photo next to a Rosy. I think we will have to wait until everyone is done drooling on him at IDEX though.

 

I've got mine in a Leeke 8-9 and is seems to fit him pretty well. I've also tried him in a DOT wig from Dream of Doll (those are all 8-9s I think, the DOT's head are all on the smaller side) which fit quite nicely.

I would put Tanned Mano at the same color as Supia Tan. It's a nice warm honey-based (not cool) tan.

You probably wonder why I never put all my dolls together in one photo, and have them all on separate web sites. This is a custom of Korea, to never compare different company dolls side by side. These wonderful people I represent are all Korean, and so this is one custom I follow in order to not only respect each artist, but also so that the artists are proud of how I present their dolls internationally. I know this can be very inconvenient, because I'm always getting people emailing me to photograph them in all different combinations.

I think this is why doll shows and expos in Korea are so amazingly popular! Because everyone can see the dolls up close, and compare on their own.

I'm dying to show you this tanned Mano (who I suspect is the one we first saw pictures of!). Limhwa sent me one tanned Mano, all dressed up formally, as well as a normal beige Eva (57cm). I opened the boxes and really felt a bit dizzy from the beauty overload. I'll be posting photos from IDEX so you can see this magnificent boy. You won't be disappointed!

P.S. Mano will be my date at the IDEX Debut of Dolls dinner. HE IS DRESSED TO THE NINES!! Stella and I were having major squee's over him.

PSS. Limhwa is still working on the order. The two dolls she sent were the first castings, who she made last November. We hope to get news soon though.. They can email me while I'm away.

 

I have found that a variety of wigs in size 8/9 or size 9 fit my Luis fine, including Jpop, regular Monique's, Luts, some wigs by Posh Dolls + custom mohair wigs I have purchased. He has a head circumference of exactly 9".

I really love Luis, he's become one of my most favorite muses!

Oh my he is really gorgeous. I love this sculpt as it is so realistic, he really looks alive.

Now I'm wondering if I was just being paranoid,
or if I just didn't want to stretch my wigs?

Most of the 8-9 & Jpop wigs I own, belong to
my Pairs, he has a small head compared
to my Mano, and my CP girl, so none of my kids share
wigs - maybe I did get a bit paranoid about stretching
his wigs after all. I'll get my Mano his own wig(s) soon,
now that I know what actually fits him. Thanks again!

Guh, my boy still needs pants and he's from the first order! XD;;;; *shame!* I've been missing from doa for months but I haven't forgotten my boys. I'm just really slow at getting them stuff(but I absolutely had to get him the sexy muscle chest!).

I was hoping there would be a few more available pants for Mano now that he's been out for several months. Any luck with pant style/brands fitting?
