guys, I've got one pair of shoes so far! clothes is still not here((( his old clothes was just so so, not his style! I can not show him like this (( I'm going on holiday two days later, so hope his clothes ll show up! cuz I need to take him with me n take pictures....
Enzyme, I think I'm kinda egoistic but I have kid already, although I still prefer being single, at least for now. When I hear word "love" I have strange feelings, cuz at most time that means they ll put u in the cage n feed u with foolish stories about feelings, emotions and how they need u in their life. So far I found my BJDs not so talkactive and selfish, so I love them now instead of real guys. But who knows) one day it may change. And I still have more male friends than female one.

Side note: I found that no one is excluded from being frustrating, that includes me. Men are just frustrating in a different way than women are. This has actually surprised, because I tend to think most men that I meet are silly, but I much rather work with men than women. They are by far much nicer to work for and with. Not saying that every woman is bad to work with, but in the majority I rather work with men. There have been times when I have worked with women that I have really liked.
Warning ranting: I think people make the mistake as seeing marriage/love as someone that will complete you; at least that’s what Hollywood makes it out to be. However, in reality love is blood sweat and tears, and it doesn’t get any easier the older you get. People seem to expect their partner to fill the holes in their life, and they can’t. I think Hollywood, and media stereotypes have mucked love up for a lot of people. Anyway, that some of my position on love. I’m done ranting.
To my surprise also I have found that my dolls, especially my narae, are so completely therapeutic. I have bonded the most with my narae doll, and I always fill better when I have her around. It strange, and I’m not sure why. The psychologist it me want there to be a full in-depth study as to why this is. They majority of the stuff I have found is about body image, which is not what I think most people on this site are experiencing .

I actually not sure what people call "love"... I mean, a lot of people have so different image about love, for me it is when you trust him and you know he ll not hurt you on purpose and ll discuss important thing with you n will not think I'm a child and he may tell me what to do with my life. I don't want to change anyone, but I need a person I feel comfortable with even when arguing and I need him to respect my world even if it strange. And I can give this all back. My dolls is kinda characters of stories I write, so they mean a lot to me and I need them around, especially Mano - he is a total pure love, I would not trade him for anything....

Vanilla, you could always just do a couple close-up shots of your Mano's face,
that will satisfy me. XD That's what I do most of the time, because I'm lazy and I don't
like sewing much, but I have no other choice (either I don't like the clothes that are available,
or they don't fit my dolls' styles). Also because I'm not very good at taking photos. U_U;;
I hope you have a nice time during your vacation, and take a lot of photos of your boys
(Ooooh, you have a child? I would have never guessed!)! ^-^


Kaiser-Serena, I just glued them in place with plain old white Elmer's glue. I would never
do something permanent to my dolls, I'm too much of a chicken to try piercing him permanently. XD

Enzyme yes but lashes!! MIne, I mean Mano's, and Hombre's - is not here yet!! I so hope they ll be here before I go away(( But.... so tiny tiny chance.... And if other panties (and their bag) not gonna be here as well, boys ll stay at home!! ((((( (sometimes I also surprised by having a child)) and he grow up fast)

Vanilla, items never arrive in time, or when you need them! I've been waiting for the green-pupil-less
eyes I got for Hombre for a while now and they have still to arrive! I hope you get your things in time,
for you to bring your boys along with you on your vacation, so you can take photos of your Mano
(and Sard) for us (ooooh, you have a son! Boys are so much cuter than girls, congrats!). ^_______^

Enzyme, yes, eyes!! I were looking for Eyes for Hombre as well, yeah, I found it but size!! was all wrong - 16mm is the smallest one(( I probably will be able to take Mano with me, as one sender promised to send a pair of panties tomorrow, just hope they ll fit him! Probably I ll buy some human lashes and put them on Mano temporary....
(I'm the worst with pinkish fluffy things, so no daughter for me))

 

Vanilla, I'm looking forward to seeing photos of your Mano!
I use human lashes for Hombre because they are thicker,
a bit long, but I think it fits his flamboyant character very well. ^_____^;;;
(I'm like you, I can't do the frilly-pink stuff on myself...although I do
like dressing my younger boy-dolls in frills and pink clothes ^__^;;.)

Enzyme: if you are looking for a certain type of eye this website here(http://e-d.lil.to/ ) makes beautiful custom glass eyes. You can order pupil color and anything else you want.

I bought my narae girl an SD 8/9 wig thinking that it would fit her without trying it on her. Was completely wrong. It is way too big for her head. Does that size fit Mano’s head? If it does I can save the wig and use it when I get him.


Vanilla sky: I don’t want to rush you too much. I understand what it’s like to want your doll ready for a premier. I have not yet given my new narae a gallery yet because I want her to look her best, and I have not finished her outfit.

 

laura121786, Thanks for the suggestion. I like their eyes, they look really pretty,
but I would rather not pay $60 for eyes I might not like in person.
I've never tried urethane eyes, I'm kind of worried about the yellowing --
I would prefer to get Masterpiece custom eyes, because they look more
realistic (in texture and color). But, I'll have to wait until I find someone
who wants to order them for me (I want the seller's 50% discount, I don't want to pay
$60-70 for doll eyes!), mainly because I am not a good photographer, and it
makes a whole good deal of difference, when you can't photograph the eyes well.
I see no point in having $50 eyes, if you can't photograph them well, at leas IMHO. ^.^;;

Regarding what size-wigs work for Mano, all I have tried on him are 8-9, depending
on the make, they may or may not work. Some are just plain too big, while others
look funny on him (it seems like he has a cone-shaped head). Some people have
used 7-8 on him with great success, personally I haven't' tried my 7-8 wigs on him, and
don't have plans on doing so, but I can see why they would work on Mano. Hope that
helps! ^___^

Just as an aside, my Masterpiece silicone eyes went really weird in a short time. It was extremely disappointing and I will never buy them again.

None of my Soom silicone or Masterpiece acrylics did. Nor have my urethanes.

If you want "normal" eyes, try eyeco for the less expensive alternatives. I have them in my narae and they look quite nice.

 

sgtgeorgecarter, I have two pairs of Masterpiece soft-glass eyes (silicon), and
they are as beautiful as when I first got them almost a year ago -- I've had no problems
with them. I'm looking for realistic irises, but without pupils -- the only way I can get
something close to what I'm looking for, is to have Masterpiece create them for me,
from "scratch." I've never tried urethane-eyes, but all resin yellows, and I'm very
worried about the sclera turning green after a while, particularly because I plan on
not changing my Mano's eyes once I find the "right" ones. I love how realistic Masterpiece
look in real-life, and I don't mind the price, but if I can I will go for the 50% off!
