1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do all your dolls "go together?"

Aug 7, 2019

    1. Yes, they all look pretty cohesive together. Their sizes are all different (MSD to Tiny), but I go for sweeter/cuter girl dolls with a frilly, feminine, pastel aesthetic. Their faces stylistically are a little different because they're from different companies, but they're all Korean sculpts with round doe-y eyes and softer features.

    2. Each doll is different for me! All of my dolls kind of represent whatever I was currently interested in at the time I bought them. They don't make a very cohesive collection at all, but I like the variety :-) Except for my first doll purchase (a Unidoll Cupi) and my most recent (a Dust of Dolls Appi Jama) I seem to prefer more realistic sculpts. Since I'm still relatively new to the hobby, having only been collecting for a year, each doll has been a new experience.

    3. I have both msd and SD sizes, which I tried to make work together in the beginning... but they've gradually grown into two separate groups. At least for photography purposes. The characters still belong to the same community, but the 2 sizes don't really interact anymore. Although I love both sizes dearly for different reasons. And will continue to keep and buy more of each.

    4. It is important for me that all my dolls end up fitting in the same scale so to speak (they don't have to BE the same scale, just fit in one) and look cohesive when presented together. I have to admit I planned out the dolls I want to end up with very carefully with that scale in mind... I'd like to be able to combine them for pictures and use the same props.
Limiting myself to specific dimensions althou helps with narrowing down the "buying field" :)
