1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do/Did you keep your very first doll? Or will you sell it?

Aug 12, 2009

    1. Aaron, my LoongSoul Evan, is probably the most important doll in the family and he's not going anywhere! I've already found another sculpt for 'who' he is, but he's still not leaving.

    2. almost 2 years later I've still got my first doll (a RS Mei) she's changed a lot since I first got her, she's got a totally different look and I've finally got her a boyfriend (a RS Ming) still very much in love with her and I plan on keeping her forever :)

    3. umm.... My first doll is headless. I can't really move her away since she is in pieces, waiting for me to modify her to work a lot better. I am enjoying my 3 other guys though. *u* They are not yet entirely ready, but I do love them.

    4. I sold my first doll im not a fan of angel of dream's shiny resin :(

    5. Four years and counting with no current plans to get rid of him (or any of my others). :aheartbea

    6. my first doll ever is the last doll i'd sell. i love her more than any other doll in my collection.

    7. Yup I still have him :) I can't say he's still my favorite mold but he's definitely my most sentimental and would be the last to go if for any reason I had to sell my collection

    8. I still have my girl(s) [ended up with multiple 'firsts' as I purchased them @ the same time & they arrived in a similar fashion]. It wasn't something I necessarily intended, and perhaps if any of them had been other sculpts, or I had 'grown out' of their characters I might have moved them on to new homes. However, I don't see them going anywhere now as they've become the core/cornerstone of my collection.

    9. I still have my first and only bjd so.. for the time being, yes. :)

    10. I don't have my first doll.....a Delf Miyu. For years I regretted selling it until I recently saw her blank recently....now I realize that she is incredible boring....that if I want a sweet big eyed doll, there are better sculpts.

    11. 3 years ago I started with Hujoo, I received her blank and did her faceup and made clothes and sold her and a dozen after her so I could afford a better quality doll. I have had Leekeworld but my favorite is now Fairyland Minifee Chloe. She has always been my absolute favorite and I will never part with her.

    12. no matter what, i'll always keep my first doll...Julian is by far my absolute favorite doll i've gotten...he's the one that get s special treatment, and greets everyone when they arrive to the house when they finally come in....

    13. I wont sell her because she was my first and im still in love with her. it took me 2 years to find her.

    14. I had the money on hand when I got my first doll, but it was the biggest purchase I'd ever made. I thought about it a lot before hand. I only knew of one company though, that I felt comfortable buying from, so I had about 5 to chose from. Still, I don't regret buying her. She was my first and only doll for 5 years- I don't think my room would even feel right without her chilling in it.

I recently wiped her botched, old, scratched face up (also a first!), and redid her in freckles and ginger hair and restarted the whole love affair. I don't have any plans of selling her.

    15. Haven't gotten rid of my first doll and I probably wont ever
the blush is coming off one of his ears tho... i wish i new how to fix it :C

    16. I am very attached to my first three dolls.. I could never get rid of them.. They have a story on them.. I haven't gotten around to writing down their story but I will someday. My other dolls I don't have as BIG of an attachment too but I am attached to them still and will prolly not get rid of them either.

    17. I got my first doll back in early July and no, I will never sell her. I also got two more sense then (I bought my second doll, a YOSD, at the end of July after I got Alice but had to pre-order him so I waited around two months to get him. He arrived in October). My third doll I got on the 29th of September and I just adore him! I now have a fourth doll on the way (Crazy I know!) but I wont be able to truly have her until Christmas, she is a present. I don't plan to buy any more for a long time though because I need to develop their characters some more and spoil them...and save money for future plans. I may never sell any of my dolls ever. I also know that I'd never EVER sell my second if I had to sell any, he was one of the dolls I wanted so badly that I just couldn't part with him. ^-^

    18. i just sold my first doll to my friend, i loved her but i know he will enjoy her more since my doll family has grown and i found a new sculpt that better suites her character.

    19. Honestly...no. I did get my first doll as some kind of compromise. I just loved looking at the big Iple men, but was afraid of their dimensions. Therefore, I got an also well-muscled guy and tried to love him.

But...no real success. However, I was very lucky to trade the body for my dream boy, and I love my Chase dearly. Zero regrets.

Right now, I am trying to sell the head I purchased for this body, as I consider being just too serious. I simply love Chase's beautiful smile.

    20. I still have my first doll, a Pipos Derek, and yes, I plan on always keeping him! I love him, and he'll always have a special place because he was my first. Even if I do quit the hobby and get rid of all of my doll stuff, I think I'll still hold onto him. <3
