Do/Did you keep your very first doll? Or will you sell it?

I sold the head from my first doll straight away. I didn't even plan on keeping it when I bought it.
The body I kept for a good five years with a different head. I recently sold that too, so now I don't own any part of my first doll.
I still have my second doll though

 

I sure did. I haven't sold any of my dolls yet. I got way too attached to her.

 

I still have the first one I ordered. The first one I received (while waiting on the first ordered) I have sold. I was glad to get him and had fun with him, learned a lot about BJDs through him but he was not my first love.

I've kept my first doll so far! I don't plan to sell him anytime soon. ^^

 

I still have my first doll! I like her body, and I've grown really attached with all the work I've put into her. I don't see myself selling her any time soon, but she still needs work. There's just something special about her.

We had good times for a few years, but I ended up giving my first doll to my cousin, where I think she's appreciated much more. As it turns out, MSD just ended up not being the size I worked with very well and my taste in sculpt styles shifted pretty hard. Once I had decided to move the character into a bigger mold that I felt was more suited to her, it was like the connection to the old body just clicked off despite trying to put other characters in there. Letting the doll go to my cousin was awesome, as we repainted her together and she came up with her own character for her.

 

I don't think I'd ever get rid of her. Even if I had to get rid of other dolls for some reason, she's a tiny, so I could justify keeping her. I think I've kept most of the "first" things I've had in life, though. Including a nonfunctioning cell phone. So I have a hard time letting go of stuff in general.

 

I still have my first doll ^^ He's off getting a new face up. I think I'll still have him even when he's yellowed beyond all reason. He'll just go into retirement, and I might reshell the character instead.

 

Unfortunately i sold my first doll. When I first discovered BJDs I fell in love and I kind of rushed into getting a doll. Needless to say, i didn't bond with her very much and after owning her for a year, i ended up selling her to a close friend.

 

I have my very first bjd. As she is my first, was a doll mold I loved forever, and has a face up by a close personal friend, I hope that I never have to sell her. She has a lot of sentimental value to me.

 

Even though I'm new to this hobby, I don't plan on selling my first doll. I honestly don't think I'll want to sell any of my future dolls either.

 

i still have my first doll, but i had thought about selling him. but then after thinking about it longer i know i never could sell him, or any of my dolls, i get too attached to them. I know there are many people who sell dolls so they can buy more but i don't think i could part with any of them... so i have to be careful to not buy too many. so far i havent done a very good job of this!

 

I still have my first doll, even after more than 4 years now, i simply love my boy to bits :3
And i havent' ever sold a doll i've bought (i have 4, not a big deal) and never ever had the urge to.

 

I still have my first doll (an Angel Fantasy BB elf Koli)... I still have all my dolls heh heh... My first doll is not really worth much, so all the more reason to keep her! I can't imagine that I would ever sell my first SD doll (Soom Gem Kyrie ns) though, she was an unassembled kit ~ so I think all the work helped us bond! She's my best dollie friend

 

I'm with you, Robyen. I got too attached to my first when I first saw him. I could never sell him. Haven't sold any of my others yet, either. Probably won't unless I absolutely had to. Granted, I have only been in the hobby 2 years. But I think I will be like those collectors on here who still have their first dolls, years down the line

 

Yes I do keep my first doll 'cause they are the first one spend many memories with me(my first dolls are a couple). I want to keep the memories so I will keep them.

 

Oh I could never sell my first doll, he's still so perfect! In fact I doubt I could sell any of my dolls... I'm a total hoarder. I couldn't stand to see them go!

 

I'm never ever ever selling my first doll. Actually I probably won't ever sell any of my future dolls either. I'm too sentimental about things like this

 

I remember very well how my girlfriend gave me for the new year my very first doll =)
I remember my feelings, remember sitting with her on hands all night.
I'll never sell it or present, even though I prefer SD, and the doll was Tiny. In my heart will always be a special place set aside for Tayo (Soom Ai)
