Do/Did you keep your very first doll? Or will you sell it?

My first doll was the doll I wanted most in the world out of any other in existence, so of course I still have him. (second icon in my sig ^_^) It's been 5 years since I bought my first doll and I still love everything about him I highly reccomend buying your dream doll as your first doll.

 

Nope, I sold her not long ago. I think I was kind of hasty with my decision. I mean I hunted and everything for THE doll but when she got here we couldn't connect at all @__@ I think it's easier to start with a character for a doll rather than a doll first then a character. My second doll had his character planned and I adore him to bits ^^ So maybe it was just a clash of personality vs. no personality?

 

I got my first doll. She lives under my bed...unassembled. I considered assembling her again though.

 

Yeah I definately keep my first doll I made a promise I'd never sell Chibi Cloud since the first day I adopt him. And he's still in very good condition as well

Got my KDM Sweet Issac girl in 2007. There have been times I look at her and want her to grow up, have a more mature body, but every time I consider selling her I just cant bring myself to do it. She was my first.

I have considered getting her a more mature MSD body but I think she would lose her charm. I am however going to try getting a SD WS head and doing a similar face up to see if I cant recapture her as an older girl, but even then I think I will still keep her younger self. That little girl has her S hooks in my heart.

 

I've never, ever considered parting with my first doll, she's still my dream doll and means a lot to me. I really wanted her for Xmas one year, but we were so broke I knew it would take some time to save up for her. Little did I know my boyfriend (husband now) had bought her for me, and she was waiting under our tree when we got back from doing the Xmas family visits. I never, ever expected to get her (my boyfriend had even been adding to my "doll fund" jar) and it's still the biggest surprise I'v ever had for Xmas.

 

I still have my first doll. He's a DoC Hoo on the old body. He's yellowed significantly and he's 3 years old. He'll be 4 this year. I've taken wonderful care of him and I clean him regularly. He's had the same face-up for 3 years though...I should probably get him a fresher one but I just can't part with his default face-up.

I would never ever get rid of him. There's too many memories he holds and giving him up would be like loosing a huge part of myself. I've had him through a lot in my life and he's just always been there. I may get new dolls and some may come and go, but he will always remain a constant. I could be poor and in a cardboard box on the side of the road. I would be there with him in my arms.

 

I don't ever intend to sell my first doll. She may not be the nicest doll I'll ever get, but she's always going to be special to me, and won't stop being all the things that made me pick her in the first place.

 

Euhm well I only have one ^^ My first, I got him in December, so I suppose I should answer this question again later on in the future...

 

I currently only have two dolls but I can safely say that my first boy Aeirion will NEVER be going anywhere, EVER.

He was bought to be a very important character of mine, (my first ever rp char actually) but turned out far too light of a skin colour. I considered selling him the second he got here, but by the time I'd opened the box I'd already fallen so deeply in love with him that I realised I could NEVER sell him.

He's developed such a personality, such character and he's just soo adorable that to even think of selling him makes me want to sob. Sad I know but as I say I love him. None of my boys will ever be for sale. They all represent my most important characters (or will once I get all 7 of them) and to think of selling them is something I could never do. I grow attached to my things far too easily. lol

 

Nope, didn't keep my first doll. "My first" simply isn't enough of a reason to keep a doll that I feel obligated not excited to do things with. Especially when I look at my Alexei and fall in love everytime, want to hold him, etc. If I felt more affection for her I would still have her, but instead she's going to a home where someone is excited for her and where she'll get the attention she deserves. I feel much happier this way, and I imagine if I was in the position of my doll I would be happier as well. Who wants to stay where they aren't appreciated anymore?

 

Oh yes, Ilú is still here and still gracing my avatar picture as he'll continue to do for a long time to come, I'm sure He's four years old now, and aside from slight changes in his resin colour over the time I've had him he's just the same as when I got him -- he's still got his original company faceup still intact, too ^__^

 

Nope, I sold my first doll a few years ago. He was sort of an impulse buy and I liked him, but there were other dolls I liked even more. He was the first BJD I ever held and I learned a lot with him, haha. I still do like him, but he’s not for me.

 

Nope. I'd rather have a doll I like than one with the sentiment of 'first'. On that note, the only doll I have currently is something along the lines of my... eighth? Ninth? I've lost count.

 

My first doll is only two years old, so I don't know if someday I'll want to sell him or not -never say never- but right now I love him too much to do that and it was after seeing him on the web that I decided I'd take a step into this hobby. It takes quite some time for me to buy a doll so I don't do it until I find the perfect sculpture.

 

I don't want to say never, especially when something called life gets in the way. You never know what will arise that may put one in a predicament that will force your hand to downsize.

 

I still have my 1st doll (but i only got her last year May ^^;.
I think when it comes to selling dolls, she'd probably be the last on my mind.

For 1, I'm proud of her (because so many people has compliment on how pretty she is)
For 2, I think she's like my daughter. I just love her to nano bits

 

ohh yes i still have me 1 dolls hes Yo-SD Piccolo and i cant sell hem never in my life i love hem to much .hes the favorite of all me dolls and he always be.
