1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you collect furniture/props or room settings for your dolls??

Oct 15, 2008

    1. i built a sofa: i made it out of the Iplehouseboxy Tedros came in. Ok- not his style- it is pink. But now it is not his sofa anymore cause my lovely mainecoone Balu decided, it is his sofa now and he relaxes there every day and sleeps there, dreaming about a lovely lady for Tedros to come

    2. Honestly my dream is to one day have a whole room dedicated to BJD rooms, so I could have scenes and sets for all of my dolls for all the seasons or holidays, from tiny size to MSD to SD size.

    3. I'm working on two sets for my dolls. The first a Japanese tea room and the other a vampire boudiour. LOL.

    4. It might've been mentioned already, but American Girl doll furniture fits pretty well for some BJD :)
I currently have "two rooms" for my dolls. They are the top two shelves on my bookshelf, modded to look like rooms. One is a living room, with a large sofa, and the other has a giant canopy bed! I am still working on it, and plan on adding wallpaper, as well as decorative curtains~

    5. I don't have dollhouse because my dolls can sit everywhere in my room :) But I do own 3 classic wooden chairs for them; one for 60-70 cm size doll and 2 for MSD size. I wanted to build a sofa for them once but I couldn't do, so I bought these 3 antique chairs (originally for porcelain dolls, I guess) instead. And sometimes they can use my tatami for Japanese theme.

    6. I enjoy creating spaces for my dolls and it also serves as a safe place so the cats can't get to them ;-) My puki condos are made from house shaped boxes I found at Target and it's still a work in progress. Then recently I found an awesome lantern which I'm going to construct a treehouse inside for my realpukis.

    7. I bought a small couch for my yo's. I can fit five on them. This couch replaced my homemade one. Three are sitting on iron and wooden garden bench adorned with fake fur. Two are sitting on seats made for cellphones and I recently built a pukifee sized bed out of cardboard, ducttape, glue, adhesive fabric ribbon, regular ribbon, fabric, foam and faux fur. I also have two miniature pillows that were meant as scent thingies for your closet. A teabag holder thing served as a closet in the beginning and I have also made a cat scratching post out of cardboard, tape, glue, rope, woolen dreadlocks and fake fur. My mermaid is sitting in a bathtub from a gift set with a pillow from my zuzu delf box in it.

My dolls don't have a living room space for themselves or something, because I have no room for it. My miniatures only come out if I want to use them in pictures and they are seated on their furniture all around my room. Only my msd doesn't have furniture, he just sits on the shelf.

    8. Nope-No room. :(. I like SD size and my room is crammed with stuff as it is. I would if I could, but I don't have space.

    9. I'm building a msd size little cottage room for my dolls to hang out in. So far I have a finished floor and a door. ^_^

    10. I'm slowly finding playscale stuff for my girl. Craft stores have been my best bet so far.

    11. I plan to, that's for sure. I have a few things here or there, but nothing that I reaaaally want.

    12. I collect miniature or scale items for background and build or have built furniture. I also have made books and sewn pillows and upholstery. Consignment and thrift shops, including goodwill are great hunting grounds.

    13. All the time. I don't care if I have a use for it or not, if its the right size for my boys, I buy it.....and my pride and joy in props are 2 awesome 1/3 scale guns. Well a shotgun and automatic weapon of some sort.

    18. OH, that desk - & the whole set-up - is AMAZING!!! Just love it!!!

    19. Wow @yamalskaya that is beautiful! I love it!

To answer the OP, yes I do have furniture, props, scenery and more. In fact, I know I've spent much more money on things for the dolls than on the dolls themselves. I'm a sucker for miniature things. My entire spare room is nothing but doll dioramas.

    20. I'm in the same boat, I have 70cm boys so I want a few pieces but I know it'll be big but I also have found it tough to find anything that might fit them to use that I like!
