1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you display your dolls alongside your other collectables?

    1. My husband and I (as he puts it) collect collections, so everything these days has to go pretty much wherever it will fit:

An example being this one corner of our living room.

The rest of the house pretty much follows this pattern.

EDITED TO ADD: We have louvred shutters at the living room windows so we can still get natural light in, but tangle the louvres so it's all directed up at the ceiling and none of it falls directly on the dolls, paintings, or other collectibles.

    2. Yes, I do. The same glass cabinet that contains my dolls also holds books, manga, comics and a wide array of figures in different shapes and sizes. That way, when I look at the cabinet, I can't help but smile because I see everything I like in one spot. Of course I would prefer (and love) to have a glass cabinet big enough to make a couple of shelves as rooms of a vertical diorama so they could have their own space, but I don't have the money nor the space to do so.

    3. I would love to have a display with all my Yuri on Ice dolls and my Victor Nikiforov merch collection....but the dolls stay somewhere dark, and the merch is out and about so...no...unfortunately.

    4. I have a ikea billy bookcase I call "the doll shelf". Two shelfs are for bjds. I want to make backdrops for them. It's on the to-do list lol The top shelf is mostly for my Littlefee and Pukifees. The upper middle is for my Minifees, plus a doll sized Mirror of Erised I got when I was Harry Potter obessed haha It fits them perfectly!

Then bottom shelves have my Bratz, Monster High, and American Girls. Thoufh I've had to block them cuz my 1 year old likes to pull them off the shelf :doh The dolls live in the hobby room which has all my sewing stuff and hubby's desk.

One day I'd like to have glass cabinets cuz I think they look fancy :chibi

    5. I have a bunch of mine in my sewing room too - mostly more-recent additions who have nowhere to go to be displayed because we're already over capacity.... They tend to gwt plonked at the front of the shelves on the wall of bookcases (blocking the books...{sigh}) and on any space in front of the shelves of sewing supplies.

We're also about to lose a chunk of doll display space because my husband has inherited some fmily furnriture that will take up an entire chimney alcove that is currently floor to ceiling doll shelves. I'm hoping to claw some space back by adding a long shelf in the hallway above door height.... we shall just have to wait and see how that goes.

    6. I have blackout curtains in my bedroom and all my dolls hang out there. Almost every open space has a doll (or doll furniture) on it! The only other thing I collect are plush and they reside on my bed so everything lives together perfectly. I love being surrounded by everyone haha. :)

    7. Because I have mostly 60cm or taller dolls, I think they look best away from my smaller figurines, which live in my dvd/game disc cabinet. Though the dolls are in front of one of my bookshelves, so perhaps that counts?

    8. I'd say so - one of my collections is books, and some of my dolls sit in front of the boks along the edge of the shelves

    9. My room is tiny so I put them where I can. I've got a shelf for them but I need to figure out the stand situation before I display them all in there. For now Hua Cheng is displayed with some other stuff although idk if that counts as a collection. Everyone else is spread all around the room.

    10. Yes! That is when I can display them (kind of have most of my crew, and other things packed away atm cause of the move last year).

    11. I *love* displaying my dolls with my other collectibles. In fact, I usually have them interacting with my stuff ^_^). It makes my room feel more lively & I really enjoy seeing a scene like that, with my dolls playing with smaller toys or holding my game consoles for me.

    12. No, there’s a little area just for my dolls and their things :)

    13. Mine sit on my manga shelf, along with some blind box bjds, ob11 type dolls, and a few custom monster high dolls. I’m looking into getting a large glass display case but the collection will stay together despite the mix of materials, company, or even just jointed toys lol.

    14. I sorta display my dolls with my other collectibles. They're on one shelf of a bookshelf. The rest of it has figures, manga, artbooks, etc. Hopefully I get detolfs someday so I can display my dolls by themselves.

    15. Figures, dolls and the occasional lego

    16. Pretty much everything I collect is displayed in my room all together however the BJDs are all in their own cabinet.

    17. Yes, my dolls are displayed next to my figures/resin statues! I think they look great next to each other and I'm always trying to pair up figures and dolls that compliment each other.
