Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Do You Dress Your Dolls For the Seasons?

Jun 23, 2010

    1. Come to think of it, I do for some but not for others. My LTF Boy and my MNF girl have/will have clothes for warm and cold weather. The others don't seem to need them, somehow. They just have warm weather clothes.

    2. When my first girl arrives I plan to!
If I were to look at her in a long sleeve shirt and it be 90oF + outside it would kill me inside.
I hope to get her a well rounded wardrobe with outfits for every season.

    3. I do this. It's apparently not very common, but I have been doing it from the start. ^_^

The only doll I don't do this for is my white tiger girl, but that's because it's hard to find outfits she can can wear and she can't wear any shoes or socks due to her paw feet. She also can't wear long sleeves due to her paw hands. SO. Next year it'll be stretchy arm and leg warmers for her. Everyone else gets summer and winter wardrobes.

    4. i usually just put them in whatever is cutest! my dolls clothes is not enough to change for all the seasons :(

    5. Haha, yeah I do. When I got him i made sure I had pants and shorts, a tee and a tank for him

    6. My boys are always dressed in the same. Most Jeans and Shirts, just like me ^^ when it's cold outside, then they wear a jacket.

    7. Since my dolls styles very, it can depend..If they look cold they get pajama's, warm comfy looking things, if I have a specific outfit in mind it goes that way too. Right now big themed project I gotta finish up is the 'Candy' theme...But I took a break from that to make an outfit for my MSD Noah out of a pair of socks and a small outfit for my Yo-SD.

    8. Sure do except winter bc it usually doesn't snow here and this past winter it snowed A LOT!!! I really wished I had more winter clothes so there could've been more photo opportunities

    9. Not so seasonal during other times except for winter. I simply adore those fluffy outfits (especially Christmas themed outfits!)

    10. Sometimes... it depends on holidays :D

    11. First I need more clothes for them, but I definitely want to. I've been trying to figure out how to make a winter coat for my rather voluptuous tiny doll, but haven't been very successful. Right now the tiny has sundresses and my other doll is in a vintage-style sailor girl outfit, so they're both summery and happy.

    12. I don't. I just put my dolls in whatever that looks good to me.

    13. I am a bit too lazy to really change my doll's outfit according to the season, but I'd do it if I could find the time. It is getting warm now and seeing a doll in a big warm coat somehow makes me feel uncomfortable! It would be nicer if I took off the coat!

I think it's fun to dress dolls for the season and for the holiday, etc. Not because the dolls feel it, but because it makes me feel better and it's just fun. :)

    14. Man I'd love to finally get enough clothes so that ny Newt has a large wardrobe! Luckily her outfit can look decently summery, so at least I have a while ;)

    15. I want to dress my dolls for the seasons~ Gotta save up first though. If it counts, I'm definitely planning on dressing them up for the holidays (Halloween, Christmas, etc...)

    16. I would love to do this but right now my finances and sewing skills don't allow it. :/ Hopefully I'll get a chance to improve my sewing skills and get my dolls properly attired for the seasons. :D

    17. Yes, I do! :) I usually display my dolls in my room and when the weather becomes hot (like now), I will change their clothing to look way cooler because every time I see them wearing coat in mid-summer just make me feel even hotter. In the winter is totally opposite, I will put big coat and stuff on them to look warmer.

    18. Yup! Or at least, I plan to, seeing as I still don't have very many clothes for my dolls. Also even if it's winter but they're not going outside for pictures or to a meet, I don't intend to dress them all bundled up for the cold weather. They'll dress a little more warmly, yes, but they're inside, they don't need their coats and boots right now!

    19. Of course! Got to put that wardrobe to work somehow, and what better excuse? Although I admit it would help if some of them didn't seem to insist on being tramps and dressing in equally skimpy clothes in summer and in the dead of winter...short skirt & halter top + scarf & hat =/= proper winter attire. :sweat

    20. Nah, once I find an outfit that they like, and I like them in, I tend to leave them as-is. For some of them, it's taken years to find an outfit they approve of so I'm not about to mess with a good thing!
