Do You Dress Your Dolls For the Seasons?

Jun 23, 2010

    1. I'm planning on doing just that! Although, at the moment, my girl only has one set of clothes [a dress], but, I'll definitely try to expand her wardrobe so that she can have season-appropriate clothes when I have the chance to do so. xD

    2. I haven't had the chance yet but I want to! I love the different clothes options of each season.

    3. Once I build up enough of a wardrobe for them, I would love to. It's a bit like decorating your house, dressing them up in seasonal clothes.

    4. I totally dress my dolls in weather appropriate attire, assuming I own weather appropriate attire. My guy is still waiting on shorts and he's been with me for about 18 months now.

    5. I really want to buy or make a winter outfit for my Prim; when it gets cold around here I'd love to have a cardigan for her at the very least!

    6. Eh I used to change my MSDs sometimes, but not so much with the season. Though I did make a couple of them hoodies. They don't go outside so they don't get cold lol. Most of my girls have like a default outfit and that's all they wear. They're like cartoon characters in that they wear the same outfit all the time to make them easy to identify as that particular character.

    7. Seeing as how my dolls have a limited wardrobe at the moment, I really can't. Haha. But both my dolls wear long sleeve shirts, one has a skirt and the other leggings. Those are kind of universal for the seasons, right? Lol.

    8. I Do! I recently made chocolate coloured turtlenecks for two of my girls ^_^. coats are fun to make too.

    9. I do - it just doesn't look right if you're talking about an ongoing snowstorm in a blog post and someone's wearing a sundress. (Or someone wearing a sweater in a heatwave....)

    10. I would love to do this, especially since the seasons here don't have nearly enough variation that I can wear the clothes I want to without overheating. Dolls are much more forgiving about that

    11. I would love to have the funds to build a wardrobe that would allow that. Heck I'd love to have a doll wardrobe large enough to change outfits every day, but alas, that's a far off dream at this point. I do put some seasonal flare in their wardrobe where I can at this point in my budget, like making scarves now that things are getting chilly.

    12. Oh for sure I do! I can't stand the thought of my dolls being too hot or too cold, even if they are inanimate objects ;) I'm gonna have to buy my boys some coats and boots soon for winter. It just wouldn't make sense to leave them in their summer-wear.

    13. I try to. I have the very best intention to but I make all my dolls' clothes and sometimes I just get lazy and by the time I'm done a new season is approaching.

    14. Because I make my dolls clothing yes. I like to dress her for the season.

    15. I try, of course it's basically since moving doll room to basement, summer/hot and then in Fall to cold but mainly they get re-dressed when new clothes regardless of season arrives, or they are going to a meet up. For trips, the lucky 1 or 2 get to pack a bag.

    16. I don't have all their outfits yet, but yes, when sitting around the house, they definitely dress for the season. I would feel like they're out of place if they didn't. Besides, I like to use them in my holiday decorating, so things like christmas sweaters and easter dresses make the whole house a more festive place. :)

    17. Yes. I think they look odd if they don't at least a little bit. I made sure my boy had shorts in the summer and coats and hats in the winter.

    18. Yes, I do. I can´t avoid it. I'm take photos in every trip, so I made clothes for my dolls every time for the occasion.

    19. Yes I do, but mainly because it makes me feel cold or hot to look at them when they're not wearing weather appropriate clothing.

    20. I've been noticing more and more that I do dress them for the seasons. My puki wears his little overalls in the summer and changes into long sleeves and pants in the fall and winter. Most of my others change as well except for one who's character is based around living in a very cold climate. You know, its like, instead of wearing a short sleeved dress, shorts, and T-shirts, its hoodies and long sleeved dresses with boots as opposed to sandals or flats. Its great fun.
