1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you ever get jealous of your doll?

Jul 16, 2010

    1. If dolls were people I could see something to be jealous of. Actually When it comes to weight and body image I'm more "jealous" (ie I wish it was as easy in the real world) of the creatures in The Sims. I made an overweight girl (approx 300 pounds) after 2hrs on the treadmill she was approx 140pounds... I wan't such a treadmill!

I'm sorry to say but I was quite offended by your comment. You actually equal housewives to inanimate objects and pets? A study showed that if an average British housewife was paid for her work she would earn close to 46 000 dollars a year (which is more than the average income in the UK). The difference as I see it between being a housewife and having a regular job is that people with regular jobs get appreciated for what they do, get paid and get to leave their work behind when they go home.

    2. I don't have a doll yet... and I never thought about this.. But I might be a little jealous.. but then again.. I'm always jealous of anything prettier than me because I wish I was pretty... Then I'll have a bitter moment. xD;

    3. I'm definitely jealous of my future BJD. He's got hooves. And that's just unfair.

    4. I get jealous they have a cooler clothing than me but that's about it. They are not in the flesh so I do not get jealous of how pretty that might be.

    5. Never, they're my little girls! :D

    6. No, they're just dolls. They're designed to look pretty and have a certain 'perfectionism' about them. I could never imagine myself being jealous of an inanimate object

    7. Well, generally no.

Though when I look at their dolly closet and Then I look at mine...

I might just feel a both of envy.

    8. I'm not jealous of my dolls but I appreciate their beauty and appeal. Many of my girls are very girly and I never feel girly unless I'm wearing lolita. Hehe. :)

    9. I wish I could be a lazy weirdo that just has to stand there and look pretty while someone pays for all of my expenses....oh wait, I just need to get a sugar daddy if that's what I want, nvm I'm not jealous, is doable.

    10. Well, occasionally I wish I could sit at home all day and be showered with pretty stuff without it being my birthday or christmas :P

    11. jealousy is always a negative feeling. And is better to make everything to destroy this ugly feeling and not even think is a 'normality'.
So...no , Im not jealousy of dolls and I dont want to be jealousy of anything else. .^^

    12. No, I'm not jealous of them I'd rather pity them.
They're alone most of the time I'm at work and besides looking at them daily, they don't get too much attention overall. Every few weeks I change their clothes and wies and take some pictures, then they're on their own again. They get lots of stuff for free and have a place to stay, that's it.
That's not a life I'd want, only being admired for my beauty and pretty lonely otherwise :/
