Do you feel left out for NOT having a Fairyland tiny?!

Jan 7, 2010

    1. My tiny collection started off with Soom releasing their teenie gem MD dolls last February, but even before then I was already eyeing up FL's Littlefees - in particular the Shiwoo cat full set. Unfortunately Soom's babies kept catching my eye so I've only just recently managed to order my first LTF (probably not the last either >.> ).

It's not so much that I think FL tinies are cuter than all the other companies' tinies - I just love the way FL make their bodies. I've heard about how well FL bodies pose (not just for LTF, Pukis, etc but even the larger sized bodies too). I'd say the poseability associated with FL dolls is one of the main reasons I chose a LTF ^^

Oh, and I absolutely could not understand why people bought Pukis when I first got into the bjd hobby, but as you can see from my signature, I've grown to find them rather adorable and - again - couldn't resist getting one XD

    2. I would love to replace all my little kid bodies (Dollzone and Luts) with Fairyland bodies because of the posing; it's just amazing! I resisted the first waves of Pukis too because they were a size that doesn't fit in with any of my other tiny dolls, but when the much smaller Realpukis appeared and I saw the long nose on Tyni, I caved.

    3. Pukis make great dolls for the Little Fees!

    4. They do, but I am NOT going there. Once I start buying dolls for my dolls, who knows where it will end? lol I did buy some American Girl minis for my MSD girl, but they were only $20.

    5. But did you ever think you'd get where you're at?
I remember going to my first meet up and realizing the smallest doll was 150.00..
No WAY was I going to spend that...LOL

    6. No, definitely no! When I bought my first tiny Elfdoll, I thought I had lost my mind. I was so horrified that I had paid so much for such a tiny little plastic thing, I put her back in the box and ignored her for a few months. Then, suddenly one day, I got her out and made her a Tinkerbell costume. Shortly afterward, I bought her a sister. It just took a while to wrap my brain around it.

    7. Haha, spampy, thatยดs good point. I really considered hard for buying my first doll and was thinking itยดs awfully much to spend... And what now. I already have a crew here... Oh noes.
KarieChaos, I have also so much stuff around everywhere in my flat, that if Iยดd have big dolls they wouldnยดt fit anywhere. ^^

I think this is lovely thread, itยดs nice also to talk across the different doll lines. I must say even if Iยดll read some other doll threads I feel shy to take part of the chat in there.

You have lovely dolls, also the more mature ones. My Domadoll Okki is also a small doll but has a womanยดs body and I really like her that way! Otherwise Iยดd be sticking into child dolls as Iยดm feeling even msd is too big for me.

    8. It's easier to justify than a few years ago, when tinys were in the $250-$300 range or higher. Try explaining *that* to your husband....and that you needed more than one. LOTS more <G>.

I have Pukis and Little Fees, but the Fairyland bug didn't bite me so hard. I feel much stronger "have to have it" for the Elfdoll and Angelregion tinys, but those were my first loves in the land o' tiny. Maybe if Fairyland had been around then, I'd feel differently. I have an affinity for certain faces...if they ever make a Cupid Little Fee, I'll absolutely have to have it. But otherwise, I find myself strangely resistant to PukiFever.

    9. I've really been bitten by the tiny bug hard - mainly because tinies are smaller (like the space I have to play with them!) and there's just so much cute stuff for them!

I have tinies other than FL, but the posing is a huge thing for me, so FL does get a strong vote from me there.

    10. I might be stupid but do they also come with normal feet? I mean not the elfish shoes?

    11. They have both. My fullset Tyni came with green elf shoes, regular feet, and upainted elf shoes.

    12. I like looking at pictures of the really tiny ones so I stalk their threads a lot, but I do not want one. I think they're just too tiny for me. BUT SO VERY CUTE. :D

    13. Ok thanks for answering. I have to say: they are so damn cute:hollyberry

    14. I don't feel left out in terms of having a Fairyland tiny. I do feel left out as I do not have a tiny. But...That WILL change!! I'm dying to get one lol. So adorable. And yea, it would probably be a fairyland (ante, not sure pukifee/littlefee though).

They're just so cute and toteable XD

    15. almaxaquotal Clarice is lovely! I'm glad you posted those pictures of her as they've changed my view on these dolls. They didn't really grab me before.

I can see why you may feel a bit left out but it would only be if they appealed to you.
If you have no interest in them then you wouldn't feel their mischievous faces tugging at your heartstrings and wallets ;)

I have only one Puki (although I admit I adore some of the Pukifees) and a variety of other tinies.
I love the fact tinies come in all shapes and sizes with something to suit everyone. They range from cutetsy little babies to mini supermodels so you can appeal to your inner child as well as your glamorous fantasy!

My first tiny is one that's probably way down near the bottom of the popularity list and I love her just as much as those I have that get discussed more. I don't buy my dolls to 'fit in' I buy my dolls because I like them and that's how it should be!! :D

This is Izzy, Happydoll Lilliput Daisy ws.

    16. I must say that my Domadoll ippo is a terrible poser, but she makes up for it with her cuteness!!!!

    17. I'm glad! I'm slowly but surely making her more clothes (I have soo much other sewing to do on plush commissions!) so I shall def post more pics in the near future. I also have a Leeke D boy (Tori) on the way, and I'm finding the same situation as the Honey Delf Candy - I will have seen NO other pictures than the default when he arrives :sweat But I hope I will love him as much as I love Clarice :)

    18. I have three Custom House kids, Ange Ai Krusemynte, Petite Ai Pipaluk and Little Junior Kristoffer. (Though Little Junior is not considered a tiny.)

I have to say that when it comes to Custom House the Ange Ais poses much much much better than the other two. She doesn't pose quite as well as my LittleFee but very well.

Even though I do love Fairyland dolls I also love other dolls. I have one LittleFee and two PukiFees and one incomming LittleFee but three or four weeks ago I ordered a DollZone BB Ani. The DZ tinies are adorable I think an I have at least one more on my wishlist. I also know that DZ MSDs poses really well - even the old bodies. I think the BB dolls looks like they are also good posers. I expect my Ani to be about the same posability as my Ange Ai.

Oh and I adore Mini Riz but the "Barbie" size is not for me. (I have a Soom Mini Gem Uyoo Elf so I know)

To tell the truth I really dislikes when some people (luckely only very few) seems to think some dolls are "better to own" than others. I mean we love whoever we love.

    19. I totally agree!.... have kids from all over the place and they each have their own place in my house!

    20. Agreed Dustbunnie and Spampy. :)Another thing which I think is kind of fun is that when I visit the different discussion threads for each of the dolls I have (or those I am interested in having) I run into many of the same people. If you love one tiny doll, chances are you will love many!
