Do you feel like your dolls have to have a friend or significant other?

i agree, having more than one doll in say, a photo shoot, is much more interesting to me than just one, unless they're interacting with some object. but i find that having another doll in the shot has better results

 

Since my boys are 3D representations of my OCs, yes, I feel that (some at least) need to have a friend or significant other / child / whatever but not because the doll could be lonely otherwise or anything, but because the character often does not work without a counterpart. It's really as easy as that ._.

 

when I had just one it seemed to be so lonely, he felt better to me after I had a companion for him, but I could not stop there. If I somehow end up with a doll who does not fit sooner or later they get a friend

 

I have found that most of mine have to have a friend or significant other. Two of my SD girls have boyfriend/husbands and the other 2 I haven't decided who they get yet. I have an SD boy coming but I don't know if he is a match to either of them. My little kids are a little different. They arrive and then I decide where they go in the family, if they are a child of one or just a small friend of another

 

At first, I thought so! But currently, none of them are in relationships. Some of them do have siblings though.

 

I plan to get another one, -one day- cause yeah it can look more interesting when dolls interact (only other thing made of resin I have is this giant alien-bug thing, and Clover can't make friends with that lol)

 

I kinda do think that they need it. I mean, if I think about how much work Ive put into my Ayden, how much love and time I give to him, its almost impossible to think that he hasn't got a personality of his own. At the moment his only companion is a floating head, I know it sounds mad but every morning when I look over to his shelf, I swear hes giving me the stink eye, like hes saying: "Dear God woman! get this girl a body!" But like I said I might be mad... ~_~

Mine do, but my BFF's dolls are usually their friends/significant others - I don't, myself, own any pairs. (That makes sense, lol; we're always together and so are our dolls.) But Hakkai's friend Seiryuu and Kazuki's boyfriend Juubei are both her dolls. :P It's definitely more fun that way - having the dolls "interact" with other dolls is more fun than just posing them by themselves, especially for taking photos. (And just for the cute factor - I left Hakkai and Seiryuu in "bed" all day once because Seiryuu was holding Hakkai's hand an it was so cute I couldn't bear to move them.)

The dolls I want / am saving for are all part of a set, as well - characters from a story/RP of mine and my BFF's. So I'll feel really bad if I don't get them with the others. Van, for instance, would be distraught without his brother! Sigh. xD

its just me who want more and more doll.
i make them story so maybe they end up friends, lover, familly etc. or maybe they'll hate each other. but at some point they all meet....

 

Not with mine, nopz. They work well separately and I never thought about creating especial friendship or relationships.

 

I do tend to want my dolls to have "friends", I really don't like seeing them alone. Maybe it's because I am alone a lot, I don't know. I just think it's cuter when there are a few of them sitting together. I don't feel like they have to have a significant other, at the moment none of my dolls do. But it's not because I'm against the idea, it's just because so far I haven't found the right guys for any of them.

 

The problem is deciding which 'freinds' and characters not to get. Cause If I get one guy then I need his lover, their lab assistant, his rival and the rival's family... Out of that group so far I have one full doll and a head. I doubt I'd be able to cull if I end up getting the group since they'd all look so good together.

 

No, I don't think my little person MUST have a friend, but I suppose it is nice. I would hope that I might be considered his friend. And just like real friends, I can't be with him all the time. Sooo...if I can't afford a friend for him, maybe a pet would do. We'll see.

 

Even though I know my girl isn't really alive, I treat her just like my child. I feel the need to take her out every once in a while to play with her friends (EbonyFeather's dolls, Hansel, Milo, and Daolin). I also am planning to get another doll so she can have a half-brother.
I'm sure, in some way, dolls get bored too.

 

I feel more like there is no girl good enough for him. LOL He is from Dollstown so I worry those girls look more like sisters or cousins. Other companies I tend to see more mature faces, or just to anime. He hjas such a realistic face and yet so unique. I want his GF to be as special as he is, but do I dare look at any MSD? Even a mature looking Soul Doll MSD would that be like robbing cradle?

Since I have my doll modeled after myself I really want a boy to make a couple. My boyfriend is really helping me out for my next doll who will look like him. I really hope my girl and the boy I want to buy will look good together, I hope they kind match. After all me and my bf kinda match. Wish me luck!

sometimes i think elodie gets lonely, because i'm gone for hours a day at school and sports and such, and i feel so bad for her, but then i realize there's no way i'd be able to buy a new camera if i splurged all my savings on a new doll. >.>

 

my doll has me! hahah no but.... havnig more dolls just makes them not seem so lonely and makes a story more complex i dont think i would want to write a story with only one main character
