Do you get obsessed when a new doll is coming?

Absolutely! I clean and reorganize the house even, specially all doll-related areas, and dress up the other dolls so the new one has a happy and nice welcome
I also shop and sew and fantasize about the modding and the face-upping if applicable!!

No matter how much I obsess and yak people's ears off about the one on the way, it's a very very happy time I know it gets to me as well at times, the waiting, but it's such a part of the whole process... I would not want to do without. If that makes sense

 

Yeah, I would probably call it obsessed I get super excited about ordering a new doll. It's worse when it's a newly released doll, as there are only company photos to look at and that gets a little old after awhile. But I just can't help myself looking at the few pictures there are of that doll.

 

No. I do not get obsessed. I really never know what to expect when it comes to a new doll. But I do have to say that when I open the box, and see the doll for the very first time, and it looks better than the pics that I saw of it. Yes I get supper excited, and happy that it was what I wanted.

 

Yes. XD I thought to myself, "well its not like I really planned this doll and in fact, I'm not even sure I want to get another one so maybe I'll just forget about it until it gets here."

I check the company website everyday now and I'm more active on DoA. XD

 

I usually don't, but I just bought my grail doll so I've been talking about him nonstop. XD That and looking at what clothes, eyes, and wigs I want for him every day.

 

I sure did. I was driving myself into anxiousness about catching the seller on time to purchase him before anybody else nabbed him, on top of that for those painful couple hours it was a race against the seller seeing messages from someone else after him and my incoming funds to reach paypal. XD So there was a lot of refreshing going on there.

Then when he was on his way, I simply couldn't sleep! I stayed up all night long, to the point where I went "eff it, I may as well stay up for the mailman, they'll be here in a couple hours anyway!" lol

 

I get obsessed with stalking the 'order status' page. Haha. Like if I just look at it for long enough, it will changed to 'Order Shipped'. Even if I'm no where near the estimated delivery time. ^ ^; And of course once the doll is actually shipped, I'm a mailbox/ postie stalker.

I usually don't buy more than one outfit, wig or pair of eyes before they arrive though. I don't know if the character I imagined will end up working out until I get my hands on the doll.

 

I tend to obsess over where in transit the new doll is. I check the order status page like crazy, and as soon as I have a tracking number, I check it multiple times a day. I've also been tempted to take the day off when I felt like the package might be delivered that day but I haven't done that yet. Maybe for the next one...

 

I feel kind of obsessed about my new dolls that are coming. I can;t stop looking for clothes and wigs for them. I've bought so much stuff already. The dolls won't get here for quite a while, I'm sure, but it's fun receiving all their gear in the mail while I'm waiting.

 

Yeah, I do get a little obsessed even when I don't have a new doll coming in. I swear my want list on eBay must be about fifty items long and most of it clothes or wigs I want for my dolls. I try to make sure that they have at least one wig and outfit waiting when they arrive and feel bad when part of it doesn't work out.

 

I am currently there actually. I ordered my tan adela from impldoll and then found out that it adds to the time it will take for her to even get shipped. So every day I'm checking the status as often as 4 times. I keep thinking itll get better once shes at least shipped. Somehow I doubt that. I am already attempting to sew her clothes from the sizes online. Yea I've probably lost my mind waiting for her. To the point where I want to order another doll now so that by the time I want it shell almost be here. Maybe the issue is I'm still struggling to imagine what shell completely look like. The image in my head just doesnt seem satisfying enough.
Haha I'm really not this loony. Just right now apparently.

 

Do I get obessed with a new doll when it ships? Are more people killed by vending machines each year than sharks?

Totally, I think planning helps out with calming it all down. Getting the clothing and starting a Layaway always helps me out, if i save for the full amount I can't move on from the doll 'til it's ordered, with layaway I seem to have more head space for other things because I know will take a few months, I have time to shop for it and getting the bits first helps to sate it.

what? me?? obsessed??? Never! all the time... in my current case before I even make the order. I don't even want to think what waiting for him is going to do to me... OTL

 

I don't know of a person who doesn't get excited when a doll comes.
It's super exciting.
Thinking about all the things you can buy them, who their personality is going to be, what their going to look like/ what will look good on them.
It's a lot to think about while you're waiting for it to come, and a lot of stuff that can be coming in just because you ordered a new doll. Lol.

It's fun.

 

Oh, yes! Obsessed--yes, that. My pickiness makes it even worse, because I always seem to have this vision that nothing exactly fits. I've had this happen so many times with non-bjds, and it is REALLY happening now with the LW Belle I want. Wig, dress, eyes, arrrrrrg, nothing is JUST the way I want it, and so I've been scouring ebay and etsy flickr and those kinds of places like crazy. Plus, I definitely have been checking the Lati website multiple times a day to see if there are new pictures . . . and am counting down the days till they restock! I actually feel kind of guilty . . . If it gets incredibly annoying that I talk about my future Belle so much, I apologize! All part of that obsession . . .

 

I am already super obsessed about two dolls I haven't even ordered yet...

 

I remember I got obsessed with my first doll. I had messaged the company about three times, asking them when will she be shipped. ^_^"

I'm currently waiting for a new dolly, and she's supposed to come around November. For now, I'm just putting her off my mind. But I'm sure that when her shipping notice comes I'll go crazy.

 

I just waited three weeks for my first doll to arrive. I was going crazy every day checking the status online and updating my roommates of where she was. She finally got here yesterday so now it's time to obsess over everything else about her!
