Do you get obsessed when a new doll is coming?

Yes, just a bit. I'm currently waiting for a doll and I really need to see her in person before I can determine too much about what to do with her. I bought her domestically so it's nothing like a company wait but the tracking information hasn't updated in five days and I'm starting to doubt that she'll arrive by tomorrow like the original estimate. Makes me anxious!

 

I do this every time I'm waiting for a doll. I buy them different eyes to try and I usually end up getting more things for my current dolls. I check the tracking number at least once a day!

 

From the moment I ordered my Noir to when I got him I thought about him every day. I had the company picture as my phone wallpaper and when I was getting stressed during school (which was a lot of the time) I would look at the picture and instantly calm down because my doll was coming and everything would be awesome.

 

I do! Every time I get closer to the arrival of a new doll, I end up becoming obsessed with looking at other people's box opening photos. Especially with those featuring dolls from the same company as the one I'm waiting on. I look at all the box opening photoshoots and try to imagine how mine will be when it happens at last. .^^;

 

Oh, I so do. I check the status on the website everyday. Search and buy stuff for them. Write stories about them, talk about them, dream about them..

I turn into a mess. But I love it. =D

 

yes .. I'm obsessed. At first I liked only one doll. but it was only first))

 

:/ I get obsessed before I even can click buy... then when I'm in the waiting process I get paranoid about skintone... double checking people's photos and company examples... phasing in and out between 'releived and confident' that I have ordered the right skintone to moments of doubt wondering if i didn't take my time with the dropdown menu and ordered the wrong thing! I'm probably gonna have a heart attack when I order this pair in the summer because their genders are BOTH switched from what their sculpt normally is. I'm gonna get paranoid that one's arriving with no penis, and the pelvis's will be non-interchangable.. two different skintones. My obsessing has more to do with worry and 'checking'... making sure i got the right thing over and over.

 

Yes, I'm very much the same way. If it's a doll that has already been released, I usually obsessively look at owner pics and dream about what mine is going to look like. If it hasn't then I just keep going back to the company photos. I also like to spend time planning out outfits and wigs and things. It's always really exciting waiting on a new doll, especially one I have been looking forward to for ages.

 

Yes...I haven't even been able to really focus on some stuff I usually do to pass the time on a normal day. Tomorrow I clean.

Yes...I'm willing to clean if it makes the time pass faster.

 

Oh my goodness, yes!! I think about them all the time and buy stuff I think they'll like as 'welcome home' presents haha.
I also stalk the Internet for owner pics so I will have an idea of what they'll look like. (Especially the Limited Editions like my Ringdoll Zombie Sol)

 

YES! I buy wigs, check to see whether she has been shipped, buy shoes, check to see if she's been shipped, make clothes, check for tracking numbers, stare at photos of the doll, check to see whether she has shipped, check to see if she's been shipped, look at other people's photos of the doll, check the tracking information..... Each and every day until she arrives!

 

Yes. I can't stop checking the mail order, and the shipping progress. I save the sale photo and just stare at it,and remind myself to have patience. Then I cant stop thinking a bout outfits, and hair styles.

 

I keep thinking about it, calculating how long it has been since I ordered and how soon I might expect it to come.

Currently I'm waiting for an SQ Lab Miyuki, and I'm so totally excited because she's my first anime style dolly.
I did have a Dollfie Dream at one point, but the vinyl freaked me out, and 60cm girls don't fit my collection.
So when I came across SQ Lab with her 53cm height she's just toooo perfect for me!
I keep searching the web for owner pics and think about her outfit at least twice a day.

 

Oh gosh, I'm completley obsessed with Neeko. I get really excited for all of my dolls but I think I'm so excited about this one because I'm going through a very rough time in my life at the moment. The doll embodies something to look foward to and something to work on. It encourages me to work through some of the things I'm going through right now and get myself through to better times when I can focus more on building things anew.

 

Sort of a yes and no. I try to not think about the time and such that it takes for the doll to get here so I try my best to avoid thinking about that doll, but I will also use my time looking for stuff I would love to get for that doll on the way Also I will have moments of telling everybody about it and checking constantly for a tracking number and then perhaps I'll go a whole week without a single thought. So sometimes I do indeed obsess but I think I have a pretty good control of it as well

 

For sure. I'm waiting for a Doll Family-A (I think) Zi Luo to come in, and I can't wait. I already have fabric set aside for making clothes when he gets here.

 

Yess! I have probably spent equal amounts on things for my PKF as I have HER :P

as of now i am^^ since it my first BJD and has been shipped i have been looking up the tracking everything few hours...( no change sadly).
