1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you have a doll limit?

Apr 29, 2016

    1. I like having a small crew, 3-5 seems like a good amount. If I have more than five at a time, I seem to lose interest. Right now I have 4, although I'm selling one. If I ever get to the point where I have 5 dolls and want more, I have a "one in, one out" policy.

    2. Unfortunately my limit isn't a personal choice. It's enforced by my parents. Otherwise I wouldn't have sitting room in the house. :) I'm allowed 2 max.

    3. I didn't use to have a limit but I do now, After having to move 3 times and wrap more than 20 dolls in bubble wrap or pillows and carefully packing them. Plus a lot of my dolls haven't been given as much attention as they deserve so I think cutting my self off at 15 is a stable position at the moment... keeping that goal that's another challenge.

    4. I have a limit of if I pick up a doll and can't remember their name anymore I have too much. I've come quite close to that limit already, but I still have 4-5 in my list. Of Doom.

    5. I used to say no, but Im getting to the points where the size of my collections is getting a bit...large.

    6. I don't have a set limit per se, but when I get around the 30 mark I often find myself at critical mass and start selling the dolls I don't take out/play with very often, or ones that don't fit my changing tastes. For example, I'm really into artist dolls lately so I've been vaguely considering downsizing a bit so I can bring in some of the gorgeous artisan sculpts I keep seeing! I could get more, but I wouldn't have room for them and I'd probably end up neglecting older dolls in favour of the new ones and that feels mean to me
