Do you have a favorite among your dolls?

I try to love all my dolls the same, take them out to pothoshots and complete them , but i have a fav, my first boy Evan, he is a dollndoll king lucian, he was my first sd too, and i love him a lot, Maybe i need another big male in my crew, there are more girls.

 

I don't like to admit it, but I do have a favorite. Oddly enough, it's the oldest one who is very yellowed and plain looking. I have newer ones, and some really nice ones that I spent a lot of money on. Yet, the overly yellowed doll with touched up default-faceup I purchased second hand off an old friend is my favorite, hahahah. I just 'get along' with her the best? :>

 

I love them all of course, but I tend to favor Sally my PW Tristan - in the way that I buy her more clothes and take more photos of her than my other dolls. I just adore her haughty prettiness..!

 

Though I love all my dollies, X has become my favorite. I can't help but relax when I look at her sweet little face. She looks so kind and concerned, and I'm very fond of the character she is based on.

 

Cloaked Schemer, it's nice to see someone else who's favorite doll is a 5Star. My 5Star Tumnus (aka Genesis Gabriel McAfee) is my favorite, and I created my doll family around him. The main dolls in my collection are his siblings, and I bought 5Star Becca specifically to be his girlfriend. I could probably part with any of my other dolls if I had to, but never my darling "Gen".

 

I absolutely gravitate to Isiah the most, the doll pictured in my icon. He's a DiM Bellose head hybrided with an Ariadolls 14 years Boy body.

Honestly, I think there's a few factors to it. A good number of my dolls have heads that would be difficult to replace should they be damaged or lost, while the Bellose sculpt is relatively common and not too expensive to order from DiM. So I don't have as much fear taking him out and about. Second, though he's "SD" sized, his body is actually a bit on the shorter side, about 56cm, and I realize his petite stature is something I really love. Some of my other boys are only a few cm's taller than him and I find it actually does make a difference because they do feel too unwieldy for me at times. Lastly, because he's so slender I typically have to resort to girl clothes to find anything that will fit him. This was pretty awesome before I got my girls because now I finally had an excuse to buy so many cute things! Unfortunately it's a bit of a double edged sword as his character as not supposed to be an actual cross-dresser, so while I do love sometimes putting him in pink, cutesy things, it can be a pain in the butt when I want to tone it done and give him something a little more traditionally masculine. Still, he's just so cute and his body is so good at posing it certainly makes up for it!

 

The one who has the most of everything is my first doll, Lilith. Everything I buy (even not in her size!) I swear she has to try on first and lay claim to. She stole an SD-sized shirt for a while even because she decided she liked her sister's clothes.

 

I sometimes feel a little bad about it, and I try not to do it, but I admit I do favor one doll above the rest. Clove, the doll in my avatar. She was my first female doll and based on a character I absolutely adore, even if she's not an OC like most of my dolls. She lays claim to almost every piece of clothing that comes through for this house for my bigger dolls, even if it doesn't fit, she has to try it on at least once. And most of my stuff is for boys, but she still has to try it.

I photograph her more too. Partly because she's my currently only complete girl and even the most complete doll in my collection (because I was so in love with her character I worked the hardest on her) and she's just the most photogenic I think. She looks the most realistic, despite my amateur faceup, and then there's the fact that people often tell me she looks alive and she looks and feels alive to me too. So yeah she definitely gets favored, but I'm trying to pay more attention to the rest of my collection now so that there is an actual reason for me to keep them around and to remind me how much I love the rest of my resin crew as well.

But I think no matter what, despite the flaws in her body sculpt and my constant thoughts she might be a little too pale, especially when compared to her partner, she will always be my most favored doll. She's special to me for sooooo many reasons, most of them listed above, so it's just the way it is.

 

My Soom Teenie, Lilid seems to get the most attention. She's small, cute and easy to carry and make changes to. But... that doesn't mean I love my others any less. So, favorite is probably too strong a word.

 

I am like you guys who have a fav doll. Mine is my sd17 sakamoto ryoma. he was an impulse gbuy and the last doll i bought and yet... he is the one i love to bits more than the others. Even his character was not preplanned like the others but he turned out to be the boss really even in the story.

I like how some of you fav dolls are ur first dolls. It makes me feel a little warm nside. I have a special place i my heart for my first too but unfortunately he got usurped.

 

At the current moment I only have two full dolls (and one is a sheep not a human) and two floating heads. Out of that I would say floaty head 1 is my favorite as he's a custom face up Luwen. But floaty head 2 has his body on the way and is a dz Carter, I have a feeling it will switch to him. Though he has no face up or clothes lol. And I can definitely say that when I actually get my grail that he'll switch to being my favorite. Honestly I'm just excited to get an msd size doll since I only have had an sd size girl and a sheep for a year.

 

Hm, this is definitely a hard question-- but I would have to go with Kimiko (Elysia head on DollsTown 18yrs girl body.) I got a few Sds before her but she definitely rekindled my love for that particular size. Plus she's my favorite to dress because she's the most versatile in style; she pretty much looks good in anything and everything. She is also currently the most spoiled in my collection (especially in the clothes department.)

 

I love them all, but Lisbeth (DC Elizabeth on a DZ body) is definitely my favourite. She's so precious and beautiful, and her posability is just awesome, it's really nice to make her pose. She has so much grace and presence, so, yeah, she's definitely my favourite !

 

Can't help it but I am completely in love with my Loki. He is not even one of my OCs but I just adore him. I would take him everywhere with me if I could. He has more cloths and has had more money spent on him than any of my others. Nearly every evening when I watch tv he will be sitting on my lap or within arms reach. My other fave that I could never part with is Indy as he is an OC that has lived an elaborate life inside my head for so many years. He is also the one with the most beautiful face I have ever seen.

 

Guppy Ramone, my Domadoll Cooki and Remedy Violet my Volks Kun. It is a tie. Volks dolls were my first love, Kun in particular, so she's always going to have a special place in my heart, but when Guppy arrived, it was absolute. I can't imagine not having her. She's so unique and quirky. She's been on more adventures than any of my other BJD.

 

I tend to have a "favourite of the moment" but there is one overall favourite who steals the show 9 times out of 10.
My Minifee Nanuri 13, the free event head I received that I fully intended to dislike ended up being just so full of personality and spunk she stole my heart. She's not the prettiest doll, or the most expensive, or even required the most work, but maybe that's part of the appeal? She was just easy... some dolls fight me in terms of faceups, wig, eyes style etc.

My Delf Miyu is my absolute favorite. I've acquired the head of my grail, so I don't know if she'll replace Alex as favorite once she has a body and is out being displayed. But yes, I definitely have a favorite.

 

My favorite used to be my Resinsoul Mei, but now it's flipped to my Impldoll Adela. But it terms of who was the most spoiled was my Resinsoul Bei. She's small enough so that she fits into Barbie sized anything, so I made and got her tons of stuff.

 

My Seraphym (my avatar doll) a Dollzone LinLan. I love her so much I got a second of her model on the used market so if anything happens to her, I can remake her.

 

The favorite of my group is the doll that started me on this..."hobby": Ami Ayase. A serene, kind, & beautiful Volks SD16 girl who captured me easily with her smile. I put up only a token resistance. There are now many more, and all have a place of affection, but Ami is the gentle foundation of the collection. My wife's favorite is the YoSD Anne. She pretty much laid claim to Anne as soon as she appeared. Clothing is freely shared: if it fits the "look" then it gets worn. ...and I'm digressing. Ami is my 1st, and will be the one who's future I'm most careful about.
