Do you have a really long wish-list?

Right now my wishlist is at 10 dolls, which I think is a lot, but I'm also just starting out in this hobby lol. It ranges from dolls I definitely plan on buying, to ones that I think are pretty and wouldn't mind owning. Currently I have one on layaway, and plan on buying the head of another later this month!

 

I dont have a big big list but like 5 to 6 maybe. I usually go for unique and creative or different kind of sculpts and bodies, i like making hybrids most

 

I have two lists - the 'I can eventually save up and may get them someday' list and the 'these would be nice but unless a bag filled with several million dollars fell into my lap I know I'll probably never own them' list. The first contains more recent limiteds and basic dolls a little out of my price range but still accessable, the other contains VERY rare and popular limiteds like the first Ringdoll Frankenstein and DD Saber Lily, both of which are in the several thousand dollars range. It's nice to dream, but I'm not holding my breath for them.

 

A couple of years into collecting BJD's I saw my wish list getting impossibly long. There were just so many sculpts coming out at any given time. Of course, I would edit my list every few months and some would drop off the list. Then I took a break from BJD's. Now that I'm back, I've noticed that my list has become very short, even if I include sculpts that are no longer produced. Sometimes, it's easy to get caught up in everyone else's excitement and adding to your list sculpts you might not have looked at otherwise.

 

My signature has my wish list in it, under "Future members" and "Long shots." Put together the two lists have eleven items. However, I'm only actively pursuing three of them (April, Ylla, and Chloe). So you could say that my wish list is both long and short.

 

Thankfully my doll character list is not as long as my original RP character list. I have a wishlist of around 30 characters for dolls but I am sure I can trim that count down a bit.

 

I do... and I don't. Right now, I'm happy with my dolls. I will always want more but, I find it hard to choose and they get forgotten quickly.

 

When I first started out in the hobby I had a pretty long wishlist. But over the years my tastes have changed and as a result my wishlist has dwindled down to only the dolls I am seriously considering getting someday.

 

Nope, hardly have one at all these days. I was going to get 3 more Miro dolls in different colors but they never got back to me on that on the lay-a-way and in the meantime my interest has definitely cooled. I'm still thinking about getting another Iris in a new shade of apple green someday, but I think I'm dropping getting the others. I did get a new boy doll recently, a Leek Patrick. The sculpt is just gorgeous. I love him, but I have so little time to play with my dolls it seems redundant to keep buying right now.

I have a whole pack of dolls most of which aren't half finished yet because I've been too busy nursing my Dad and then dealing with his death and all the stuff after, and moving and getting unholy sick for months, then trying to make up for all that lost time in terms of what all I have to do with the new house. These next few days I am painting the outside of my house. I have tons of painting to do inside too. I'm exhausted most of the time. I've admittedly been a bit depressed too. New dolls cheer me up but I can only afford so much retail therapy and I've about hit my limit, I think. So maybe it's better if I don't try to put more on that list. I'm just a bit too overwhelmed....

 

I definitely have a super long wishlist. It's hard because I want so many but I also want to ensure that I'm giving love to each and every one of them. I don't even know how many are on there but I should probably whittle it down a bit. BJDs are all so special and I hope to one day have a generous collection

 

My wishlist is quite small. Apart from my one doll, I've only ever seen one other sculpt I'd love to have. For once in my life my wallet is thanking me

 

I didn't for a long time (I only wanted four) but I keep finding new characters to find an excuse to shell.

 

Oooh yeah I think my wishlist is pretty long. Not like, 40+ long but I want at least 9 more haha which will put me up to 14 at home

 

Right now, I have 5 or so that I seriously want, plus a long list of others I'll get if I win the lottery. No more for me for a while, though. Right now, I'm concentrating on completing the dolls I already have.

 

I once had a quite long list. It was so long, that I almost have to become really rich to afford them. After time passing by (and running out of money) I was aware of the few dolls that I was truly into.

 

For me, my wishlist is shorter just because of the sheer price of the dolls. When I add a doll to my wishlist, it always has to be one that I really want and could see myself actually buying in the future. I'm pretty picky about the dolls I want to buy because I'd prefer to avoid selling them anytime soon (I'm not particularly comfortable selling things online), and fewer dolls means that the attention I pay to each one will be spread less thinly. ^_^

 

There are many dolls that I really like, but they need to have more in store for that in order to make it to my wishlist. Dolls on my wishlist have in common that they've caught my eye more than once, in different settings, different owners/face-ups etcetera. I also need to have a general idea for them.

My wishlist changes over time too, and I remove whoever I don't feel that *need* for anymore. The ones I really want will find their way into my home eventually.

Right now my wishlist consists mostly of MerryDollRound Olathe.

 

Yes I have about 60 more dolls to get and my collection will be complete until they come out with some more cute dollies

 

I do have a wishlist. But it's only two bodies! xD The rest are faceups by certain artists and clothes! :P

 

NO. But I've been into bjds for 12 years and pretty much get what I want when they come up for sale and over the years have gotten nearly anything I really wanted!

I already have too many dolls, so a long wishlist at this point would be even more insane than I am already!
