Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Do you have any preference about "twins"?

Feb 14, 2017

    1. I would like to have twins but can't decide... I'd like to have two boys, but two girls, it's good too...
And maybe I'll have the two (so 4 twins), and maybe after two another twins, a boy and a girl ?
I love to see twins of people, my favourites are when the twins are the same, but with inversed colors...

    2. Im obsessed with Twins!!! My favorite are my Identical twin boys who are made from FID Arvids. I have them both styled up tottally differently, and one has a beard and one clean shaven.
I also have fraternal twins, but I do prefer identical ones the most. In my overall Fasihon doll collection (not just BJD) I have probably over 100 sets of twin dolls. (mostly custom painted by me)

    3. I would love to make my Minifee a twin but with a tan sculpt or different head. They would have similar styled hair, same eye color and the same body! I'm not sure if their tastes would be the same style wise, or polar opposites.

    4. I have two Miao Jun one was damaged and had missing parts, so I bought the other one for the extra parts, does that count as twins?

    5. I have a set of Minifee Sia twins. One is in NS with the company faceup and the other is in tan skin with a custom faceup. Their names are Kasane and Teto XD. I will be adding a third Sia (Way down the road lol) in WS who's name with be Utau <3

    6. I have one set of twins and another twin who's going to be coming home.

The twins are my OT Ai Dolls Veronica and Vivian, they had the same face sculpt but drastically different looks from their faceups to their eyes. But the face is enough for me to say their twin sisters.

The other twin is my doll Avalon's twin brother. Avalon is about five maybe six, I don't remember how old he was when I got him but he's probably yellowed a little. So he'll already look different because nice fresh batch of NS. I'll be getting his faceup from a different person then who did Avalon. Gene (temp name) is a Jian who is just the human version of Song but on the Wu body which is gonna be bigger then him by a few inches. Their fraternal as well so while Avalon has honey blonde/dirty blond hair, Gene will have maybe platinum blond or pure black and I might switch their eyes around when I get Gene home so they have heterochromia. But that's debatable. Especially since I'll be sending Gene off not too long after I get him. I don't wanna make any permanent choices about him until I have all my ducks in a row for him. But he's a long time coming.

Plus I've wanted boy twins for, forever.

    7. I have twin boys, they are Dollclans Siber and Benkel. They were meant to be twins made by the company, so it really suits my needs well. Similar face sculpts, but only a little different in the eyes. Benkel has a more squinty look (half closed eyes) and a slightly parted lips, they both have the same nose which I love. I did their faceup differently to give them distinctive personalities and characters.

    8. I would love to have a set of twins, probably child dolls, especially Myou big babies. I would probably get two of the same sculpt, but have a girl and boy body. I could then dress them in matching outfits, but a dress for the girl and pants for the boy. it would be a fun project.

    9. My dolly crew just has my main characters right now, but if I were to shell one of my girl's identical twin I would use the same body and sculpt, and the same eyes, but then her style and hair would be completely different. The girl's had different paths through life so though their colouring is the same, they have different hair styles, make up styles and expressions and personalities. I really want to shell the twin just for this reason because I think they would look so groovy together, but I need to focus on my unfinished dolls before I even think of getting around to that XD

    10. My two new dolls look enough alike to be twins, although they are from different companies. I may have to go the twin route with them, or certainly brothers. I rather like the idea of twins, although the closeness in looks of these two was not intentional.

    11. My twins have different skin tones and hair color but they share the same eye color and melancholic, gloomy expression (at some point). Both are boys and share the same sculpt.

I like my twins with slight variations this way because same gender twins that look and dress identical makes me feel weird; it makes me feel like I own two copies of the same doll.

    12. My twins are fraternal. They're different sculpts (Dollits Rey and Dollshe Grant Phillippe). They have slightly different hair colors, and different eye color, as well as different body types. In the story, they are raised in completely different environments starting at the time that they're five, which accounts for their skin tone differences and muscle bulk. One of them stays inside and reads all the time, and the other spends all day outdoors in the sun.

I have another set of twins in the story, also fraternal, but I've only shelled one of them. Since the other is only a brief mention, I probably will not be shelling her.

    13. I generally like twins to be a little different. But I've seen ADORABLE identical twins too! So I think it's just something you find out when you get them! I have two Lillycat Ellanas, one is dark tan, and one is grey/purple. So that's the big difference between them and they look... well, not really like twins!

    14. I'm dieing to have a set of twin dolls. It would cost a lot since I like more expensive dolls but one day in the future it might just be worth it. The idea is so innocent and sweet. <3

    15. My twins are a pair of Sugarble Naga. They are my young Naga princes. They have the same head sculpt with slightly different make up. One is grey skin with a purple tail and the other is white skin with an emerald tail.

    16. I have tan Momo twins, one sleeping and open eyed face! Sadie (OE) is the forward and outgoing twin, June (SP) is the more shy and reserved twin :3nodding: Both twins have company faceups, so they're much the same in terms of looks, but they have different wigs, clothing styles and colour schemes!

    17. I have two sets of twins. My young genie twins have identical face sculpts with the same Luts company face-ups (which I adore.) Their bodies are also identical Luts big baby bodies so they can share clothes, and their eyes are also the same. But one is in real skin brown with dark hair, and one is in realskin normal with lavender hair. My other set of twins is a pair of identical face sculpts with similar bodies from the same company, but one is a girl and one is a boy. Their eye color is the same, but their pupil color is different and their face-ups and hair color is completely different. Their clothing is similar in style, but with a gender difference. I love that there are so many different ways to make twins unique from one another.

ETA: I recently added a third set of twins to my crew and yep, as per usual, identical sculpts in different colored resins with different colored eyes and wigs. Clearly my preference is to have some form of unique individuality when it comes to twins.

    18. My twins are the same head sculpt with slightly different bodies and in different skin tones (I was also wavering between getting the sleeping head or the open-eyed one but the sleeping head was discontinued before I could order so that solved the problem for me). At first I thought it would be nice to have them be more different by each one having different eyes and hair styles/colors but I have realized that I prefer them to have matching eyes and hair colors (style is slightly different though).
They do not dress alike at all though, I do sometimes put them in matching color clothing but not too often.

    19. If I'd make twins, I'd buy a doll that looks like the one I already have or buy two two that looks alike. Not the same doll, cause I want to know who is who. I've been looking that IpleHouse Eric and IpleHouse Claude could be brothers or twins. That would probably be my first choice of twins.

    20. I got one doll, and a few years later I got her twin sister. They're the same company, but different sculpts and skin tones. On top of that, the first girl has a visible disability while the other doesn't. I use wigs eyes and clothing to give them a sense of unity while making it clear they're fraternal.
