1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you hug your Dolls when you are upset/lonely?

Nov 1, 2010

    1. i hugged ellie when i got her, now she just sits with me when i am lonely or upset.

    2. I do hug mine often. They sit on my bed all day, so when I get lonely sometimes I cuddle with them, or just plain give them a hug. Sometimes I give them a hug before I go to sleep. *SHH don't tell anyone!* >.<

    3. I won't necessarily hug my Freya, but when I feel upset, I do pick her up, and play/stroke her hair, and it seems to calm me a lot.

    4. My boy Kaname gets cuddles when I'm upset....So yes...He's my hug bug I go to when I'm sad.

    5. I'm pretty affectionate with my dolls. I tell them good morning when I wake up, sit them on my lap or on my desk when I'm on the computer. I even talk to them a little and sometimes watch movies and stuff eith them. They're good company when I don't really feel like company :)

    6. When I am actually crying, I don't think about my dolls. But if I'm feeling a little down, sometimes I might get one of my girls and put her on my lap. I only have SD's currently, and their weight is oddly reassuring. I find them too small, cold and hard to properly cuddle though - that job is left to either Jirachi or Happy Relax the sheep ball.

    7. Absolutely! After a bad day, I just need to sit down and cuddle Connor or Finch.

    8. shhh, don't tell, but I cuddle with one at night :)

    9. I don't necessarily hug my dolls when I'm sad, but I do hug them(and kiss them >.>). Usually when I am hanging out with one their cuteness will overcome me and a hug is in order. xD

    10. Yes... Just yesterday I was feeling sleepy while watching TV with my little Gwendolyn. I ended up cuddling with her and taking an hour long nap, haha.

    11. Sometimes I hug them. I mostly just bring them out of their boxes and play with them for a while until I feel a little better. I'd carry one with me but I don't trust taking them out of my room unless the house is empty. xD

    12. This is me too, especially if they have a new outfit or something, the cuteness is too much! :o

    13. not sure if i've already replied but yes....i hug mine, usually before bed or while watching tv i will hold them so they can watch it with me

    14. no, i don't. i have a flesh and blood 9 yr old doll, so i hold her when i feel lonely or bad and she brings me great comfort :) when i was little however i used to do that with my dolls and teddy bears. i wouldn't stop crying or feeling bad, but it felt great having something to hold on to while i was going through whatever it was

    15. I've hugged and held Didi when I'm feeling down. Or sat him on my lap while I work on other things to cheer me up. I find it comforting.

    16. Yes! I love to hug them, especially when I feel alone or sad, they take a smile out of me

    17. I don't hug them, but if I'm having a crap day or a series of crap days as has been the case recently, I find that handling the dolls, even just picking them up and fixing their out of place hair helps my mood and makes me feel a little better.

    18. Sometimes, but mostly one of them will sit on my lap or will be generally sat near me either on the computer or on my bed, keeping me company when I'm feeling really terrible.

I've let them stay on my bed when I slept before, but only a couple times. I don't like them too close to me when I do that because I'm afraid I'll roll over on them or something. Otherwise, typically they stay on an open zipper pillow that Iris came with on the futon in my room.

    19. i have done, I don't generally cuddle with them but if I'm super, super sad and need a hug I might go to them and hug just one.

    20. I cuddle with my boy even when I'm NOT upset. It's just comforting.
