1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you hug your Dolls when you are upset/lonely?

Nov 1, 2010

    1. Yes :sweat Yes, I do.

I think it's only natural. We put so much love into them, so when we need a little pick-me-up and nobody else is around, the dolls you love can make you feel better by just being there to hold.

    2. Yes, I hug both of my dolls when I feel sad or lonely. They always make me feel better :)

    3. This is perfect. It depends on the doll to me also though. Some aren't as cuddly or inviting as others.

    4. No. Although i do love my dolls, to me they're just that - dolls (that should be put in pretty clothes and displayed - something like that). So i've never really even thought of hugging them. I guess if you were really attached and stuff (which most people are) you would and i can understand that. I do have a teddy bear that i still sleep with and i squish him to death and use his legs/arm to cover my eyes but this is all when im sleeping. I love being alone so i dont get lonely and when im upset music usually helps.

    5. I would hug my doll if I got lonely or sad. I would just be carfull not to damage the face up.

    6. I love my dolls, but I'm forced to admit that they don't love me much in return, the ungrateful goobers...so when I'm sad and in need some genuine affection, I prefer to squish the humans in my life - cuz they squish back. ;)

    7. My BJDs are not very hugable imho- so for dollie huggies I prefer to cuddle with my Reborn baby doll >_<

    8. Well yes and no. I usually just hold them in my lap, but it is really comforting to have them there.

    9. No, I don't find it comforting to hug my dolls. The dolls aren't soft or warm, so it doesn't feel consoling for me.

    10. I´m living on my own for a while and sometimes I get a little bit lonely. So I take one of my Boys to me and hug them. And then I´m not lonely anymore.

    11. Oh definitely. I'll always take out and just hold my doll when I get sad. I've always turned to the things around me for comfort though. When I was younger it was my hamster and guinea pigs, now it's my doll.

    12. I do I do. I took my doll to see Les Miserables with me because I knew I would be emotional the entire time. I had to travel to go to my grandfathers funeral and brought him with me. Not to the funeral, he stayed in my room. But I was so happy to have him with me that night when I was so sad.

    13. Yes, Aharon is the best stress-relief. He pulled me trough some of the most difficut times in my life and now he's "supporting" me during a house move. It's a huge hassle and I'm wrung out like a lemon at the end of the day, but he always cheers me up. I also hug him when he is upset, lol.

    14. I hug mine :) I love her and hug her when I feel down or am just so pleased to have her, feel daft doing it but love her :)

    15. I only did once, as she's not a very cuddly character ... but it still made me feel better, and I imagined a little smile on her face, too :)

    16. Yeah, I cry a bit more then I should, but just hugging my doll makes me feel so much better.

    17. Yes! I do all the time aha~ I just go into my room when things are upsetting me, i see my doll and just start playing with him. I often talk to him quietly, letting out my frustrations. It's very helpful haha!

    18. When I'm upset by myself and don't have a person to turn to, I'll hug my SD girl and let my emotions out. She's wonderful for that sort of thing. :)

    19. But of course I hug my doll when I am upset :whee: A hug can make you feel so much better, especially from someone or something that you are close to ;) It's like when we hugged teddy bears as little kids :thumbup Also my doll has this super adorable smile which makes me smile as well :kitty2

    20. My dolls are definite "hugger's" !
I find they get a certain look in their eye and they need a hug! This happens more often than me needing the hug
LoL! But yes, I do love to hug & cuddle with them
