Do you hug your Dolls when you are upset/lonely?

That's similar reasoning as to why I don't sleep with my dolls. They're hard plastic, so they really aren't that soft or cuddly.

However, for some reason my SD girl suddenly seems cuddly when I need a hug and my friends are far away...

 

I just bought my first doll from a girl in a town close to mine and since I've had her she has been a great comfort to me. So, yes, I hug her.

 

I don't really hug or squeeze her, but I like sitting her next to me (between my body and my arm) and holding her hand with my fingers. It's kind of soothing and nice.

 

Naw, I don't hug my dolls, but I find comfort in paying them attention in other ways such as painting face-ups and styling wigs. When i'm upset I immerse in my dolls in that way, because the more they're like the vision in my head the happier they make me if I simply look at them.

I've had a completely shit day once, and hugging Emilly (DC Hilary) made me feel a lot better.

When I still had Vivi, I had a very hard time dealing with my anxiety disorder and any time I would break down, or panic, or cry (which was a daily thing), I would hug her and it would make me feel that much better. It made me feel less alone and about 300% safer. Even when I got very scared and paranoid of my own house, walking around with her in my arms made me feel confident and comfortable. She did more for me than I could even say. I miss her, but I know that she will do the same thing for my little cousin and will be just as loved. (I gave her Vivi when I moved.)

 

Well, nowadays I've been very lonely/upset/depressed so yes, when I sit alone in my house I just take Neru or Kael or someone of my dolls and hug him/her. Or then I took two of them and just hug them, and stroke their hair etc., and in the end it makes me feel better :''3

 

I hug my dolls when I am very upset. Sometimes I fall asleep with them because I'll sit in bed and hug them. Messes wigs up though so I stopped doing it! I usually play with my dolls or make an outfit when I am upset...

 

I don't, only because I feel like they are so fragile. If they weren't I probably would. I usually just hold them and dress them and fix their hair.

Yes, I hug Angelo and cuddle with him all the time, especially when I'm gloomy.

I also like to hold him while I watch TV or movies.

I worked so hard to get him, and he's such a comfort. I just think about how happy I was to earn him, and he's a really good listener.

Hmm ... I used to do that with my Bobobie Sprite all the time,
and I was sorry ever after when I had to sell her.
Now I bought myself a new one and I hope, it will feel just as good as it did with my first Sprite.

At the moment I find myself reaching for my sweet Quiet Ryan ( Kizdoll Saiy ) every day.
I have him with me when I sew clothes,
he sits on my lap when I am on the computer or watching movies .
Even though he is a big guy with his 65cm
I feel that he is so cuddly and hugable ... he really cuddles up in my arms.

I own quite a few dolls now,
but Ryan is the only one that does that.
My Heather is quite kicky, Andrej is .. hmmm .. dunno - he doesn't "speak" to me at all at the moment,
Tula is a PERFECT poser but not cuddly at all ..
and both of my Tinys are .. well ... very tiny ..

I think of my dolls as my comforters,
each in their own way .. does that make sense ?

 

I do. I love to have my JID Daniel (named Takeo) sitting with me, or just laying with me to cuddle with.

I plan to get a 70cm boy at some point in the future though, so I think he will become my new squishy when that happens

No, I am rarely sad, and if I am, I do something to take my mind of it, liek a walk or write something.

 

Sometimes after a really tough day, I'll get Tandrelim and just hold him on my lap while I relax. After a while his resin gets warm from me and it's rather nice.
