1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you hug your Dolls when you are upset/lonely?

Nov 1, 2010

    1. I don't hug Pixie, she's far too tiny, I have Benedict the badger for that
If I'm feeling down I sit her on her wee chair on the coffee table while I sew it out. She always manages to cheer me up :)

    2. No, I hug my dog. However, if I have a friend over and my dog is in my friend's lap (my dog loves new people), I'll sometimes go grab a doll to hold. It's mainly because the absence of my dog bothers me, though. I have a clingy dog and it's just odd not to have her beside me.

    3. not everyone around me understands my attachment to my dollies....They have grown quickly in numbers I started collecting about a year ago and I know have 10+ But I love holding a sunggling them....Even my big 72cm boy Ian I have slept with at times...he is so nice. I have purse tinies that I rotate lol. Nothing makes me happier the my dollies

    4. Yeah, When my boyfriend and I fight I normally carry my doll around and hug him andd hold him,

    5. Oh yes. I hug my Bambi when things are tough or I feel like crying. It's really comforting.

    6. I want to, but my doll is too small to hug..

    7. This!! I've been [im]patiently waiting for my PKF Luna to arrive, and been going through some health issues and I will check out other photos of her and instantly I start to feel better.

    8. My dolls help with so many of my emotional ups and downs. Whenever I feel like I want to break down and cry, I hug one of them and I feel a lot better after just a few minutes.
When I move in with my boyfriend in a couple of weeks, I plan to take them with me to help when I feel homesick, anxious, etc.

    9. no. I don't like hugs.

    10. There have been many times.. in the last year... where i have just hugged one of my dolls (mostly Conner.. poor guy) and cried myself to sleep.

See, over the last year, a "stable" relationship dissolved, drawn out, painful.. with my daughter in the middle... it's hard to explain to a toddler... that her Daddy... is never coming home, because he wanted to be elsewhere... it's impossible... so yes.. I hug my dolls and cry, cause i can't cry around her.

    11. Yepp, whenever im feeling down, i grab my doll and give him a squeeze!

    12. I hug my JID daniel, but since getting my SD girl, I've realised if i want to hug someone it will have to be a big guy. I can't wait until i have saved enough money to buy my Soom Dia boy

    13. One of the reasons I want a doll is to have a little friend I can hold or confide in, like any little girl might with her dolls. I think of them as little people, is that weird?

    14. No, that's not weird - I think of my BJDs in a similar way. :) I always have thought of ALL of my dolls in that way since I was a little girl.

    15. Although my doll is way too small for hugging, I still go to her when I feel bad. She is always that sweet little angel that warm up my life.

    16. I most certainly do hug my dolls and not just when I'm feeling down. They do cheer me up if I'm feeling sad and I will always grab Damian my first bjd for this. I also enjoy holding him while I watch TV and just stroking his hair and giving him a cuddle. I love all my boys and they always bring a smile to me.

    17. Hugging them and holding them cheers me up when I'm down, sometimes it just feels like they understand. Some days they look upset about something, so I'll take the one from the mix and treat them to special one on one time, I guess when i'm gone they don't always agree with each other XD.

    18. I actually was in a lot of pain this evening (not just lack of sleep but a headache and other pains) and I didn't wanna move Avalon when I was trying to rest so I just laid him next to me and put an arm around him...I wound up falling asleep and when I woke up I felt so much better the pain was gone..I wind up hugging him more so when I'm happy then anything else. He's quickly become my favorite doll in my collection and I can't imagine NOT having him after finally getting him home.

    19. I've never hugged a doll, never even thought about it until I read this post title. I see my dolls as photo props, not really entities with personality or anything.

    20. :( That...is truly sad, adam. Oh well, to each his own.

Ryuichi is my best doll friend, my go-to guy when I'm upset, sick or just want to cuddle (next to my Kuma plushie), he's the best for it out of all six of my dolls. I can hug him hard and he doesn't seem to mind. And mind you, I'm not some 20-something kid, I'm an adult in a long-term relationship. My SO InuYasha understands that there are times when only my plushie or Ryuichi can soothe me, especially when I'm in a bad mood. :)
