1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you hug your Dolls when you are upset/lonely?

Nov 1, 2010

    1. I am really frustrated with my family right now.
I like to get one of my boys to sit on my lap and it makes me feel better and calms me down.
I also enjoy rubbing their backs or arms when I do that, I love how their little resin bodies feel.
Wish I still owned cats... they were great in such moments too...

    2. When I have to work long nights, I like to pose my dolls on the table in really relaxed poses- it really helps me to keep my spirits up. But I hug them all the time! Just today I was restyling Umi's wig and I just couldn't help but hug her! She's my inner girly-girl, and she's just too cute!! I also give them Eskimo kisses (nose to nose) that way I'm not in danger of leaving lip balm all over their faces :)

    3. Nah, I hug the heck out of my cats when I'm upset, but I don't have an impulse to ever hug my dolls. Maybe it's because I never had dolls as a kid so that never developed as a thing for me.

    4. I hug my dolls even when I'm not upset. They just bring me that kind of comfort that I feel I frequently need. They're little pieces of me that know me better than myself sometimes.

    5. I would always hug my doll. During the times I'm really sad, I don't. It may sound different but it's because I treat her as if she's my child, and like any mother, we wouldn't want our children seeing us crying. I'm not a really mother, but to me my girl is my daughter and treat her as such. So the idea of showing that I'm sad makes feel terrible. I never felt lonely since I would always have her with me.

    6. Actually, I do. I think, just like my stuffed bears, dolls are also my silent friends. :aheartbea

    7. I did it one time when I was really sad... I prefer to spend my happy moments with my dolls, not the sad one :)

    8. Yeah, I like to hug my dolls, stare his face. It makes me feel better!

    9. why not~ i always hold their little hands in bed
