1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you hug your Dolls when you are upset/lonely?

Nov 1, 2010

    1. I hug my dolls even when I'm not sad. c: But when I am upset, they're comforting. The only problem is that I find my dolls somewhat awkward to hug...So if I'm not hugging them, I'll have them sitting nicely in my lap or next to me somewhere.

    2. Yep... Never thought of that but I always do!

    3. I always grab my little one Nessa and hug her <3

    4. Yes. All the time. In fact, I mostly do it without thinking and my friends were the ones that pointed it out.

      "Uh oh, Xhe's got J. What's wrong?"

    5. Nah, I have hugpillows and a wool blanket to snuggle with when I feel sad. I don't want to hug my dolls really at such time, since if I'm upset and not thinking clearly, I worry I may damage them by accident. I'd be more likely to sit and admire how beautiful they look to help cheer me up.

    6. I hug my dolls A LOT. I just love the feeling. When I am lonely, I love to have my dolls near me. For some reason, when I am sad, I feel bad about hugging my dolls... maybe I don't want to spoil their moods? But I do like to look at them when I am sad, and sometimes have them sitting in bed with me.

    7. I always hug and cuddle them, and kiss their foreheads, and talk to them :) They provide a great sense of comfort to me and always make me feel just that little bit happier :)

    8. I only hug one of my dolls, for some reason he can be comforting ^.^ plus I did his face up so I'm not afraid of damaging him

    9. I "cuddle" them when I'm happy but I don't do that when I'm sad or upset. And cuddling more involves sitting on the lap when I'm doing something. I have dogs that cuddle when I'm upset.

    10. Some weeks ago I felt bad and I looked around me and saw my first BJD, Kaoru, my JH Luka. I took him on my arms, hug him strongly, and slept with him. I didn't felf better but he helped me not being worse.
Since this moment, I often use to hug them, without any reason, just because I love them !

    11. Yes..I will hug my dolls when I feel sad or lonely, sometimes also will talk to them if I can't find anyone to talk to..

    12. Eeeerrrrrrrrrrr.... NO! They are hard rigid plastic which hardly makes me want to cuddle them... that's what cats are for ;)

    13. I don't hug them as such, but I like to have them near me. If I'm feeling bad, I'll have one sit with me when I'm watching tv, or working on an essay etc. I wouldn't actually 'hug' them, since they aren't exactly cuddly, but I do like to hold them.

    14. Recently I've been feeling a bit down, and although I don't hug my doll, I do feel a lot less stressed when I look at her. Petting her hair is really calming as well. :P

    15. I think i probably hug my dolls every time i'm alone with them XDDD They are normally saved in my living room but when i took them to my room i can't stop it XDDD

    16. i think i will.

    17. No I don't hug my dolls because I'm always afraid I'll damage their faceup but I see how it would feel therapeutic and calming. If I ever have bigger dolls I would do so for sure!

    18. No, I don't. I guess I don't find BJDs as cuddly as some do XD I do hug them randomly and will sit with them, but usually when I'm feeling good.

    19. No... I seldom hug them, but I always let them stay beside my bed.

    20. I don't, but I do put him by my bedside and I find that talking to him makes me calmer.
