It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you keep original packaging for doll accessories?

Sep 6, 2017

    1. I keep all the packaging :) I just like the idea of having something as complete as possible :)

    2. Generally? No. Replaceable generic packaging 9 times out of 10.

    3. I keep everything in case I need to resell the item and I can use it to package it safely again.

    4. I've just recently had some dolly items (clothing and a wig) arrive and I already can tell I won't be keeping any of that packaging XD I think the only thing I'll keep are the boxes the actual dolls come in once my dolls get here *^* ... Though I do tend to hold onto things without even thinking about it so who knows? I guess it could also depend on if I think I could reuse the packaging for another purpose? But I wouldn't want it just lying around taking up space or collecting dust

    5. Yep. I have every hair net and plastic sleeve my doll clothes and accessories came in and I keep them in a box. Though I plan to replace them with sealed bags at some point.

    6. Sometimes I keep the original packages, yes. I especially do this if the item in question is small or if it has multiple pieces.

    7. I would keep everything! :D
(When buying collectors items in general I would just tend to keep things all in one place, anyway) :)

    8. Like most of you have said, wig nets and tiny plastic ziploc bags are super useful so I DO keep those but most everything else gets tossed. Only exceptions are really cute packages that I might want to use as a prop, like if a pair of shoes actually came in a mini shoebox or something like that.

    9. I only have 3 dolls at the moment and one is a LUTS Zuzu so the packaging is very small so at the moment I've kept all the original packaging.
Maybe when I've acquired more, then space/storage from them will be more and an issue but for now its ALLL been kept hehe

    10. Dolls, I keep boxes and anything that came with a fullset in the box.

General accessories.... not so much. Maybe if the packaging is cute. I tend to keep faceup protectors and wig nets, useful stuff. But most the time it gets junked.

    11. It’s really useful when I don’t have proper storage, so I’m able to keep them in the original packaging instead of it sitting around getting dusty.

    12. I take pictures of the item in the packaging before I open it. That way, I can easily tell what brand it is if I forget, or need to know how to pack it for resell.

    13. I keep only what I think necessary; wig nets, tissue balls and plastic bags with zip lock.

    14. The only type of packaging I keep would be the hair nets for wigs. Packaging for shoes, clothes, and accessories takes up too much space and I think everything looks a lot cleaner without all the plastic.

    15. I like to keep all the packages, either for future packaging and safe storage and/or as a reminder of the sender/company.

    16. I'd try to, I mean I can hardly keep up with the original packaging for my PS4.

    17. Not cellophane bags for clothes, they generally tear anyways. Wig hair nets, yes, containers wigs came in, and doll boxes, yes.

I want to get a decorative trunk I can keep clothes and supplies in, but I haven’t seen anything the right size. If it’s cute, it’s tiny. If it’s big enough, it has the same stylishness of a cardboard box.

    18. I keep the doll boxes and COAs, but packaging from outfits I usually discard.

    19. I keep all packaging. boxes and COA is a must. I tend to place outfits and accessories packaging back to their boxes. I don't usually discard them. unless if i have torn them really badly or unusable.

    20. I'll only keep garment bags if it's for a multi piece outfit set so i can keep it together, otherwise all the clothes are in a small trunk anyway. Shoes and accessories are in another box, wigs wrapped in their nets and with the paper ball in the caps are in their own box and eyes are paired up in baggies in a small lure box. I keep all the doll's official boxes with their pillows and CoA's unless they weren't sent to me.
