1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you keep the same wig for the same doll?

Apr 15, 2007

    1. Lillian (my DiM Bellosse) has one wig that she wears most of the time, but has a couple others that are all the same color and length, just different styles. Her "default" wig is just all down with a bow on each side, but she sometimes likes to wear her hair in braids or pigtails. I figure that most people don't wear their hair the same way every single day of their whole life, so why can't my doll do her hair a little differently to suit her mood and outfit?

    2. Once I find a wig that really suits a particular doll, it usually stays on that doll. Though, from time to time I do like to try other wigs just to see how they look.

    3. Kaesu (BBB Sprite boy) has a whole pile of wigs, mostly because I get bored and like to make things. There's a long brown one that's his default, because I totally adore it on him, and a black fake fur one for when I don't feel like messing with the default. One goes with a particular outfit, and the rest he doesn't wear much.

Caoimhe (my Puki Pipi) has 4 wigs, all in white. Two are fake fur and don't fit well, and the other two are yarn and styled in pigtails, with different colored bows sewn to each.

Kyoko (Puki Ani) has two wigs so far, for very different looks she's had.

    4. I think it just matters the doll and the doll's character (if the doll has one). Currently all of my dolls just basically stick to one wig. I do though have plans to have a doll based on one of my OCs that does change her hair color quite often. Once I get that doll, she will probably have quite a few different wigs. A few of my dolls I've had temporary wigs for until I could find the exact color or style I was looking for though.

    5. Usually my dolls only have one wig. Once I found the right one the doll will keep it....
But I already thought about getting them wigs in the same colour but with different stylings (I'm not good with hair so doing it myself would end in a desaster....).

    6. My dolls have their own main wigs, I don't want to change their wigs at the moment but if I would
I would choose the same color as possible for me to retain the character I had given them
wigs for me may change the dolls personality and overall characteristics ^^

    7. Well, depending on the timeline of my story, my characters have different hairstyles, I'm thinking of getting a high ponytail wig for my girl to swap around, if I can find one that suits her. :3

    8. Sort of. Currently my dolls all have just one wig except for two of them who have two wigs each. As my dolls are based after specific characters I know what I'm looking for when choosing their wigs so I don't like to drastically change their styles around. However, I am a complete sucker for beautiful, quality wigs so even if a dollalready has an appropriate wig, if I find another that equally suits them, there's a good chance they'll wind up with it too.

For example, my doll Mai has two wigs, both blonde, long and with gentle waves, as his character will always have. However, one is a creamier blonde, the other more sandy and one with straight bangs while the other has wavy. Both these wigs suit him since it's not like I bought him this random black or red wig, so it's fine when he wears both. It's probably redundant to some people to continue to buy wigs in the same basic style and color as wigs I already own, but I'm perfectly fine with eyeing that floor length black Usagihime wig for my boy Elijah despite his already having the exact same type of wig from CoolCat. Besides, I'm interested in trying out different hairstyles as well such as this interesing updo ponytail Leeke offers that I think one of my characters could pull off, but I know he wouldn't be the type to wear it as such all the time so I'm fine having another wig for him in the same color and style of bangs.

Hmm, I may have lost track of the question somewhere in there.

    9. Well, they all have their 'main wigs' that they wear most of the time but depending on the character, they get to try out and wear different ones as well.
For example, Saigon pretty much always sticks to the same wig whilst one of my other OCs, that I hope to get in doll form soon, dyes and cuts his hair a different color / style almost every week, so it's gonna be a real pain (and fun at the same time) to get all those wigs for him.

    10. Well, since all the wigs I buy for Luken end up looking so much better on Morgan ... I think I'll just give up, finally, and leave Luken to wear the wig that he came with. It's simply perfect. As for Morgan - well, he's wearing this wig and that wig but once I got his pirate outfit, he'll probably end up wearing that and the "pirate" wig most of the time.

    11. My dolls only have one wig. The only reason for me to change them is when the old one is almost falling apart or doesn't look good anymore.
