It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Do you keep your doll in his/her box at night?

Nov 27, 2011

    1. My doll goes back into her box at night (uncovered). I feel uncomfortable leaving her sitting around in places because she could fall down and break something when I'm sleeping :( Plus I often get up in the middle of the night and I'm blind with my glasses off, so there's the risk of me bumping into her at some point too.

    2. My dolls do not stay in their boxes for several reasons:

1: Not every doll has a box so I do not have enough boxes.
2: I use their boxes as storage for their stuff, so there is no space for them in there.
3: I do not have time to take all dolls out every morning and put them back at night.
4: I like to see my dolls.

So eventually my dolls just took over the guestroom bed and sit around on that together.

    3. No, I keep them on my shelves but I have nothing against those who keep them in the boxes.
Maybe they're just protecting their dolls as much as possible from yellowing.

    4. Yep, I put my Kuuya and Saber in the box
because in my house there are so many dust.
My dad even said that so I put them in the box at night.

I have no problem with people who put there dolls in the box at night because I'm doing that as well
because they might have another reason why they put them in the box.

    5. No, my dolls have never been back in their boxes since the day i got them.
No, i have nothing against people who put their dolls back in their boxes its up to them.

    6. It depends on where he was before I go to bed. If he's sitting on my desk with me before I go to bed, then I'll move him to sit on the top of my bookshelf, and if I've been somewhere and he's still in his box (I don't have a carry case yet) he'll most likely stay there.

    7. My doll goes in her box whenever I am not around. This is simply because I have very curious cats who like to "investigate" precious items when they are unsupervised.
I think people have the right to do whatever they want with their dolls, so no judgement here.

    8. I put mine in her box at night, mainly so I know she's safe and won't get dusty, but having said that I did have a nightmare last night that there was a doll trying to suffocate me... Hmm.

    9. My dolls have not been in their boxes since the day I got them, I do still own their boxes though incase of travel. My dolls sit on their shelf or my nightstand during the night. I do this out of fear of a fire breaking out and me not being able to get to the boxes in my closet in time so them sitting right by me makes it easy to grab them and run for safety if needed

    10. I don't put my doll in her box at might I have an MSD sized chair that I sit her in and I put an MSD size fleece blanket around her :). I don't have anything against people who put their dolls in boxes at all! In fact I use to do that with my first doll but now I prefer using the chair instead.

    11. My doll stays out all the time, even through the night. I have no problems with someone putting their dolls up at night! I can completely understand the nightmares and destructive pets though. :)

    12. I like seeing my boys before I turn out the light and then they are often the first thing I look at when I open my eyes. I have no problem with them looking at me because I'm often looking at them! Good on you for getting past your fear though and I think you should do whatever you are comfortable with. I most certainly do not judge what others do with their dolls. Just enjoy them :)

    13. No, I don't!

I don't mind if people do tho, it's none of my business really. As long as the person who owns the doll is happy with it, who cares? :)

I don't put the doll in the box at night because I like having them out all the time. Also because I don't have much space, so it's easier to just put away the boxes and let them be there rather than putting the boxes out in the room all the time.

    14. I don't move my dolls around between day and night. They already live in their carriers; what good would shifting them to a box do? ;) Besides, I don't have boxes for all of them anyway, and I don't have room for what boxes I have.

    15. No, i don't... In fact i'm so lazy to put my girl into theirs boxes... Plus I don't have the box for each of them :sweat

    16. Not much to really understand. Mine stay in their boxes all of the time until I feel like doing something with them. Staring at them constantly is not a priority for me or necessary for me to enjoy owning them. They take up less room in their boxes on top of my wardrobe than they would on shelves.

I actually have a doll that I honestly can't remember the last time I took out of the box. *shrugs*

    17. I have two bedroom apartment, but both my boyfriend and I like collecting large things so I don't have room to keep their boxes and have them sit out. Besides that, the apartment is very sunny and there is also quite a bit of dust that can accumulate (I need to dust several times a week). These are the reasons why they are stored in their boxes, both day and night. Usually I pick one each day to sit out :)

    18. Nope - my guy hangs out in his little space. My room is very dark and I have no pets to worry about.

I made a nice little area, blanket and pillow for him. And his space has all of his "stuff" (props). Seeing him chilling in his area is so cute. So I like to wake up and see him there. He hangs out most of the time in this space unless he's with me.

I don't have a issue with someone who would rather keep their dolls in their boxes however.;)

    19. Chaeri has a bed of her own that I have on a shelf beside mine. She used to sleep beside my pillow, but I got tired of her falling off the bed. I mean, we have carpet in the bedroom, but still, falling dolls = bad. So now she and her husband Johnny have a nice comfy bed I made for them that they sleep in every single night.

    20. they used to, at first, then I got somewhat tired of getting them in and out of their boxes so they are now always around^^
