1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Well you already know how I feel about this hee hee! I really love the bust joint personally - for looks and mobility - especially on female dolls.

    2. I love chest joints, they allow dolls to achieve more natural poses. I tend to slouch a lot and once I get my MSD, he's going to share that trait with me. Also, it is much easier to conceal a joint placed just below the breast on a female doll, because most clothes are designed to cover that area anyway. Joints half-way down the torso are much more problematic and I think they draw away from the aesthetic appeal of a lot of dolls.

    3. Most of my dolls slouch, and the under bust jount really makes that easy, i think they can sit so much more naturally with this joint

    4. At first I didnt like it at all, thought it looked so strange especially with smaller bust bodies but because of the excellent natural posing when I got an A line MNF I was a convert. However, when I had the Iplehouse EID woman with the bust joint I found that she kept 'slipping' and wonking off to one side but maybe this was because of the size and weight of her. My Elfdoll girl has a bust joint and sometimes it does the same which is a little annoying, but it looks good with clothes.

    5. I like either a one part torso or a two part, but never a three part. My tinies are a waist jointed couple, but that's because they really have no bust. My Iplehouse Tatiana I once had had the bust joint and it was lovely. It gave her stability but posability, and she was still streamlined and beautiful looking without clothes. The only downside to a one part, to me, would be the lack of ease in sitting up and balancing. I know not all dolls have that issue most likely, but some do.

    6. i like the bust joint but believe that if it's not right under the breasts and that if it's not a smooth break in the line of the torso that it can look very bad, but if it's done well then it's really nice.

    7. I really like the bust joint on FEMALE dolls. I think it just looks bizzare with male dolls because they have no well.. protruding bust so I don't think it really has much of a real point.

But overall I think that bust joints are a pretty good idea for dolls larger than msds. C:

    8. I like more defined bust joint. I just love the effect it gives to a body and just do not like those with no joints or "invisible" ones.
I also like the mobility it gives even if it is minimal it is always better then the no-jointed ones inexistent movements...

Though my opinion might change in the future when I get bigger dolls :P

    9. It depends on the doll, the shape of the bust and how well the joint works. I think I prefer the bust joint, low hip joints and solid torso bodies to the ones that are jointed just below the rib cage, as when the body is cut square in half it can look a little awkward to me (though again it depends). Ultimately, the type of torso joint is not a major deciding factor for me.

    10. i'm glad iples have the bust joint, helps with faking shoulder movements -- would be interesting if they developed a low waist joint (which could be easily hidden) option in the future...

    11. Yessss <3 I swoon for those bust joints! I'm somewhat picky about the joints of my dolls, and while if I really adore the sculpt or company I may make some exceptions, I have to have at least a torso joint.
But if they have a bust joint, then I'm mostly likely sold instantly. xD

The bust joints give a lot more natural look to the body while at the same time making it appear almost jointless.

Personally I can't stand single-jointed torsos because of their lack of movement, and the only exception I'll ever have for that is a Volks Mark OTL...

    12. Add me to one of the few that don't really like the bust joint. As others have said it doesn't look that natural for posing. I really appreciate companies that give you a choice. So we all win. :)

    13. I do and I don't. I like them on men. I like them on busty women, but if it's on a flat girl I really dislike it. There's a few companies I would have a hard time getting a girl from because of the bust joint.
I think that they make the doll pose more naturally, but they still have to look nice for me to want them.

    14. I really dislike the joints that run right under the pecs on some male dolls. The line can make them look like they have breasts if it follows under them like two shallow "u"s... If the joint is more of a smooth line that echoes the rib-cage more (like a shallow upside-down 'u'), that's OK.

It also seems like a bit of an unnatural break even for female sculpts... although I can see that aesthetically, in other respects, it can look less obvious.

Posing-wise... I'm not sure it adds so much because the upper back really doesn't bend a lot on humans. As others have said, waist-joints make more sense in that respect. That said... I don't mind the extra mobility that I can get in, say, a hip/waist joint AND an upper joint on a torso. I just don't like how some of them outline the pecs and boobs too closely...!

I don't think I'd buy a joint that does that... even though I've admired how the dolls look, otherwise...

    15. I like the bust joint! Maybe because I only have male dolls. I think it some how looked sexy! Also, It allows my dolls to do more poses. :)
