Do you name your group of dolls?

i only have one full doll so far (the other one is waiting on her body) but i have plans for quiet a few more dolls. when i talk about them as a group its either as my "family" or my "murder" because one of my nicknames is crow and a flock of crows is called a murder =]

 

While I don't actually name my group of dolls, I do have names for their various worlds. The SDs live in "The Lodge" & the tinies in "The Starlight Wood". These names have to do with the structure of their universes & what happens in each. As a whole though my dolls are just called "The Gang" or "The Herd."

 

Most of our dolls ((Azrael Evangeline's and mine)) fall into a group called 'The Caern', based on the fact that one of their canon settings is sort of World of Darkness, wherein they're the NYC Caern. Even the characters that aren't entirely related to that setting have sorta fallen under the title, for simplicity's sake. C:

 

hmm I think I'll call mine either my family or Nexus-Keep residents, since that is where they live, they just happen to camp out in this world >.<

 

The collection that is building in my head (and it's gonna be a SLOOOOOW process) is the "Nicodonian Imperial Court" or the "Court of the Celestial Hearth", because they're all Courtiers of their Empress.

I do occasionally think of them as the "League of Extraordinary Pocketburners", because well, the list has grown from the one doll I originally fell for and am saving for, to eight, which will be a long time coming at this rate.

I can just see them all packing their wee satchels and taking off to points unknown...

 

I did it mostly so I could have a group on LJ for all the stuff I need to load for them. :3 The Hybrid Hollow. But for three years, they never had a name as a group since they were from different stories. :3

Since I always make my dolls act like dorks, It's in their group name.

Officially, mine are the 'Exiles of Eidolon' - when it was just Phase, the site itself was Changeling's Dream, but that's harder to make work as a group identifier than an individual concept. They're all from the same universe, though, and storyline-wise, they've all come to the Exiles' Court after being driven from their homeworld. I'd forgotten there was a company that used 'Eidolon' in their name when I picked it, but oh well... ^^; It's a word that gets around with BJD for a reason, I think.

When I'm referring to them pretty much anywhere outside of dollie sites, though (be it blog, my RP rooms, or real life), they're just the boys - or, even better, the "Little...Resin....Booooy(s)!" (Said, of course, with the same inflection as "Little...Wooden...Boooy!" XD)

 

I like that, it has a Sherlock Holmesian tone to it.

 

Not the most poetic name, but when I refer to them in conversation they're always the resin gits... which my mum surprised my by calling them when we were talking about them last month, too

 

Haha my roomate refers to them as 'All the D#*@ned dolls'...so i do too.

that or, of course, Creepydolls. which i think just about everyone ELSE around here calls them!

 

I didn't use to use group names, until I ordered my newest girl who is part of a different story from the others. Until then I just called them "my girls" or "the girls". But now Davey and Alice are from "The Realm" and my newest is one of "The Settlers". There are other characters in each storyline, so yeah...

 

Well, officially, my dolls are "The Bento Crew" ^ ^; Because my name is Chopsticks...and they're cute and small (not BENTO small, but shorter than me XD) I usually just end up referring to them as "my boys", though. Or jokingly I call them, "m'BOYS! :B" (cookies for those who get the reference )

There are so many cool names on here! I never realized how many people gave their group of dolls a collective title ^__^

 

Cruelty Of The Wolf crew, The Guys (Including my Girl, shes a tomboy), The Sanitarium, and The Haunted.

It just depends on my mood or which Crew im talking bout

(Cruelty Of The Wolf is my Pirate crew, The Guys is everyone, The Sanitarium are my crazy kids, and The Haunted is my other storyline)

 

well as a group I often call them "Visceral boys" since they all centre around the band, named Visceral. More commonly I refer to them by a couple of smaller groups: tha Band, the Wolves, the Elves and the Dragons.
