1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you name your group of dolls?

Sep 7, 2009

    1. I didn't on purpose. When I just had one doll she was "The Sidster" but, since Naoru came in, I increasingly refer to them as 'The girls' (but I plan on buying a boy in the next few months so that can't stay) and 'My Little Lenari.' Lenari being the race that Sid's character is...so....XD I guess Nao is too? Yay unintentional categorizing.

    2. I don't really have a name for some, or all, of them, but I when I speak of them I usually call them 'my bebes' (instead of babies)

    3. I would like to come up with a group name for my dolls, but nothing has quite "clicked" yet. I think it's all up to the preference of the owner, really. I'm so used to working with marketing and branding, it's almost an instinct to label something. :sweat

    4. I didn't, but my brother is calling them "the 'matos". Like, "Tomato and friends"... >.>

    5. I tend to call my group The Harem, since they're quite the collection of pretty little things, very firmly ruled over the eldest, Lao. But my friend Matt refers to the as The Host Club, which I think may catch on because I've started doing it too. So, I guess I call my group of boys and girls The Host Club. XD

    6. I called my dolls "school council" because when I see them together, creative thoughts occurred to me. :)

    7. XD Creative thoughts are very good!

    8. I'm trying to brainstorm good group names, but so many of them come from different "storylines" it's hard to think of a collective label for them. xD

    9. Being on the verge of owning 70 dolls, I do have a name for them - The Meng Horde. I had collected almost 24 of them before I realized that I WAS collecting a Horde. Virtually every doll I own can be worked into my imaginary Mongolian camp, since it is a fictional place where magic still exists.
On the other hand, most of the dolls have another persona that is completely opposite of the Horde. I just can't seem to restrict them to one timeline.

    10. The only defining element that connects my little mix is that they all live in the same very eclectic and culturally diverse neighborhood. So I refer to them as My Little Band of Neighborhood Misfits.:)

    11. My group of dolls-not just bjds-are the Navarro House girls-but with the addition of a boy, I guess I should change the girl part. Hmm this will take some thought.

    12. I don't have any actual involved storylines with my dolls that would give me a group name. I usually just refer to them as 'The Crew'

    13. I have a group... well right now it's just the two of them... but they're called the Lost Boys. Nothing to do with the movie! But one's a vampire and one's a pumpkin witchy boy... It just seemed to suit them. They're also a boy band. I don't know why... But it amuses me that they're sort of my unruly gang but also a tween singing sensation. lol

    14. I have always referred to them as "my boys".

    15. My resin girls are often just referred to as "the big lovelies" or "the girls."

However, my collection of off-topic dolls is called "The Patch" due to all having Smashing Pumpkins inspired names.

    16. Well, all my dolls are from Crosston Creek (a fictional little town 20 miles outside the Atlanta beltway in Georgia) & most belong to a cosplay group (Kosmic Kids is the current name but some members hate that...LOL). A lot also are involved with the Crosston Creek Community Theatre. So I guess my group has a name, sort of.

    17. I just refer to them as 'my crew'. No real name, though I do sometimes break the crew up into groups for easy reference when talking to my RP partner-Only Up (the boyband), 4 Day Weekend (the pop punk band), the high school group, Beo (my boy Ben and her boy Theo and friends), the minis, tour group (all the ones involved in the boy band's tour including opening acts and security) and so on.
