Do you prefer Child or Adult Dolls? Why?

I prefer older looking sculpts, anywhere between older teen to adult, younger dolls... They don't do it for me, I spend a lot of times playing with my younger cousins, who are basically children and toddlers, so I'm just going to assume that I spend so much time with them that unconsciously I don't want to deal with any more young children. I guess I'm just odd.

 

Teenagers and adults
I never found children that cute. A little round fat face has no real appeal to me.
Child dolls also have no real advantages for me because I could make my older dolls wear childish clothes (rain boots with animal faces, plush-toy backpacks, etc. no one HAS to grow up mentally ) but the other way arround doesn't really work. Toddler in sexy lingerie anyone? XD

 

I liked the older dols until I didn't. Now I'm all about young dolls like pukis and dollmore alex.

 

I used to only like adult looking dolls but then I bought an KDF from LUTS and I've fallen in love with dolls of around that sort of age in looks. I still love adult dolls as well though and I'd really like to get at least one child like doll. So I guess I like all ranges lol.

 

I like adult looking dolls. However, Soom's little gem limiteds are lovely. So... I guess I like adult looking dolls, and fantasy creature child dolls.

 

i like teen and child looking dolls. =) im not really into mature looking dolls

 

I like the younger child like dolls, bc they have cute outfits, but the SD sized dolls have the outfits that are simply amazing !!

I've wanted a few of the older SD sized male dolls, but they sell out so fast & end up going for $2,000 or more !

 

adults with adult clothes, childish dolls have never appealed to me

 

I really like more adult looking dolls to be honest as most of my girls are dressed as victorian ladys ^_^

 

I like the teen to adult size dolls. The child ones kid of freak me out... I've never really liked kids or have ever wanted my own so that may be why.

 

I like mature teen to adult simply because all my dolls have nasty and/or sassy-to-hell personalities that just don't fit with the "child" image. I did get a Serendipity Dobby because I thought he was so pretty, but his personality ended up being a special needs adult 'cause I just don't like the whole kiddie personality thing.

It depends but I love both. Sometimes I want a child doll since they are too cute but I find them kind of limiting. They are easier to bring around everywhere and anywhere. On the other hand, there are so much more to do with adult dolls.

 

I like both child and adult dolls. However, I prefer adult/mature-looking dolls since the majority of my characters are adults, and I just think adult/mature-looking dolls look nicer .

 

I like the more mature dolls myself, but I have to admit that some of the child dolls I have seen on DoA are adorable.

 

My little doll family consists of both: Adults and a kid. Though the little one is also not a Baby. Her parents are around 25 years old, so pretty mature (although sometimes they also tend to be a bit childish, but that's just fine). I do not want to go too extreme any longer. My EID was just too much doll, but I think that owning a PukiPuki would make me nervous.

 

I prefer the adult and teen sculpts because something about dolls that resemble small children is a bit unsettling to me...

 

Mostly I prefer adult or teen dolls.. If I could I would like to have dolls all ages though ) money.. always money.. )

 

Adults for me, mainly because most of my characters are quite old. My only woe is that there aren't sculpts that look old enough. I have characters that are in their mid-forties for example and I have to manually age the sculpt to show that via faceup or mods for them. I pick youthful sculpts for the more youthful characters, though.

 

Size wise I prefer adults, I like heavier dolls. Personality wise I like adults better, they've had more 'life' and more back story.
