Do you prefer Child or Adult Dolls? Why?

I actually like all sizes but I'm drawn to childish faces. I've found that large eyed dolls with full cheeks seem to be what I like. I place my SDs in the age range of early twenties and my YOSDs at around ten and under. I think it's a particular aesthetic that I like and not so much a tangible age.

 

I love variety so I definitely wouldn't mind having dolls that were childlike/teens/adults/etc. Plus it definitely depends on the person and the styles they want to apply to certain dolls

 

I find I own teen to adult dolls. I like some of the child like BJD, but I do not tend to buy them. Eventually I want to get a Puki or a Little Fee. But I am drawn to the bigger dolls especially the male, for their cool outfits and style.

No, seriously, I like almost all the ages in dolls, except for baby dolls. Those really chubby ones. They have to look really cool and not like real children or babies for me to like them.
I prefer the dolls that look like teenagers or young adults. I guess that's because I am a young adult myself and can identify more with them as I could with other ages.

Personally, I like the more mature dollies. I think i like MSD size the most, because they are easy to handle. But my femmes need to have boobies. And I find it VERY difficult to find a "cool" msd boy, so male-wise I like the real "big" ones, like hound size XD.
I think tiny's are cute, like pukifee pong, such a happy face =D but they're not really for me. my characters? (dont really have them) are more mature and have curves ^^. (I really like curvy dolls)

 

I prefer young adults and older teens. Really young and child-like dolls remind me too much of the dolls for kids, haha. So far adults didn't really click with me and most of them seem a little creepy to me because they're too realistic for my taste.

 

Heh, I love cute little child-baby dolls like the pukipuki's and such, but I can't really get up the enthusiasm for buying them myself. I just prefer the look and "Character" of older looking dolls, I suppose.

 

I prefer more adult styled dolls myself. I'm not sure why but more childlike dolls kind of scare me. Every doll that I'm planning on buying is reasonably mature looking.

 

I don't think of dolls in terms of 'ages', as such, and I would never say that any of my girls is a certain age. I would only ever own smaller dolls, which I guess thinking about it now would be termed as childlike dolls?

 

I prefer babies/children/teens but I like also adult dolls, not too old though.. maybe because I don't want to grow up :P

 

I like adult dolls best, although I don't mind teen-looking ones. Can't really go for childlike/babyfaced ones. I think it has to do with the fact that I don't like kids and there is nothing appealing to me about a baby XD

 

I don't know that I prefer one size/age to another, but I DO, oddly enough, prefer genders within those size/age groups--I only like SD/MSD men, and yo-sd/tiny girls! I had a BB Mei that was 43cm and she was too big to be a girl to me, so I rehomed her. I think the cutoff for acceptable girls is 28cm, lol! Conversely I see a small boy and think, "that should be a girl". Like the current doll I'm saving for is a Leeke Chouette on a girl body.

I've not had a chance to handle very many BJDs in person, however, so I've yet to fully test this strangeness

 

When I got my first doll a few years ago I had a strong preference for mature looking (boy) dolls, but I guess that after a few years of focusing on one thing, I'm ready for something different and now my preference is going towards girl child dolls. (Probably because I like girl child fashion more than boy child fashion.)

 

regardless of size or height I prefer my dolls to look childish. for me they = innocence and i just can't get into some of the more adult dolls (or situations people put them in.)

I actually I'm into 'ageless' type character dolls like fairies and mythical stuff which tend to have slightly adult bodies but have that 'ageless'ness.

 

I have to say that i like both , but most of my dolls are adults and i feel that adult dolls are more the thing i like , even those little ones are cute and there are many things what kan be made easier with those .
Even i like biger dolls more it would be nice to have at least one little one.

 

I prefer childish or teens like bjd, I am not at ease with more mature BJD, as for the SD size, too big for me!

 

I really dislike children, so I prefer dolls that look like adults. My youngest-looking doll is much older than he looks. I am planning a child character in the future, but don't know if I'll be able to bond with one. I just don't understand children ^^;

 

I have had a few dolls of all different sizes and have found from it that I like yo-sd sized child like dolls the most. I like to dress them in frilly little kid type cloths and they seem so much more cutesy than bigger adult dolls. I love cute and frilly and fuzzy and all that kind of stuff fits in with little kids a lot better to me.
