Do you prefer closed mouth or opened mouth?

My first doll was open mouthed. I am about to get my fifth one and only my first one has open lips. I do have to say though that I love dolls with open mouths! For some reason however I have prefered to only have one. It's a beautiful expression but I think it tends to look one note for pictures. I do think the eyes are able to change an expression depending how you photograph the dolls

 

Closed, or even a little bit of teeth inside the mouth is fine. But Smiling sculps are so... scary to me.

 

I think o mouth dolls are cute and charming they will always have a rather surprised or like curious look can also be many other looks too. But I don't think I'm a big fan of like super super opened mouthed only cause they will always look like that all the time haha.. Yeah i would say I'm mostly closed mouth for me. I love cat shaped lips are so very cute for me!

 

I like closed mouth sculpts the best, I have a few dolls with open mouths and I just find them harder to give a faceup

 

My two DDS dolls have their closed mouths but i would like to try with open mouth for my next doll.

 

Closed mouth. Specially if it’s a serious expression

 

I like both altho it still depends on the personality. But I guess I am bias to open mouth. I like teeth. ❤

 

I tend to stay away from wide mouthed sculpts. I admire them for afar but i am not brave enough to own and try painting one.

 

I dont really like teeth in dolls, it scares me a bit to be honest... so closed mouths for me!

 

Never had open mouth doll, but I like them, especially Zaoll Muse. Someday I'll give her a chance. So for me both options is cool. Open mouth dolls seems to be cut shorted in the middle of discussion, it makes them more alive and breathing to me.

 

I prefer closed mouths, unless the teeth are really subtle. I prefer pouty lips too.

 

I like open mouth doll more~
It is really attractive if doll have teeth and open mouth, give artist more inspiration to create a beautiful face up.

 

Closed mouth, I'm not against possibly owning an opened mouth doll in the future but I'm muuuuch more particular about the open mouthed ones.

 

Never had an open-mouthed doll but I might be interested in one? I don't mind open mouths, unless they're from certain fetishy companies... yall know who im talking about.

 

I think I'm not much of an open mouth fan, with a few exceptions that is - if I find the sculpt personally appealing. The only open mouth sculpt I've fallen in love with was Charmdoll Anna. I guess I could say it was love at first sight because I kind of took the plunge with buying her. I highly think she is adorable and cute even with the open mouth doesn't bother me in any way.

 

Open mouth is okay for me, if it's slight and you can't see the inside of the mouth.

 

Depends on the sculpt! Some are really pretty and well done, but generally it's a no from me. Some of them just look kind of like a corpse that found their death surprising??? Or like they're just not feeling up to shutting their jaw

 

Both are fine，but I like open mouth jo march more than close mouth jo march. But I don’t have a open mouth so I put eye putty in my close mouth jo march to pretend she is the open mouth one lol

 

I prefer a closed mouth. The exceptions are a predatory smile and predatory smile .

 

Closed mouth, hands down... I hate painting teeth!
