    1. I personally prefer SD sized dolls 60-70cm, but do have a doll in MSD size. I like the fashion aspect of my dolls, and korean shops largely cater to 65-70cm dolls.

I like bringing my MSD out for dollmeets because it's a good size to carry around, but would still always go back to SD dolls for their very huggable size and would even have fun with Doll x Owner shoots with them.

    2. I have both msd and sd
I prefer msd it’s just easier to travel with and they don’t take as much space as sd. They also don’t take as much fabric to sew for. If there’s ever an opportunity of my sd getting msd versions I would definitely switch them over

    3. My first doll was an SD and I quickly found out that it was just too big for me. They look great but I definitely prefer MSD. For me, dolls this size are just a lot easier to handle.

    4. I started with MSD size dolls but my last are two are 68cm and 63cm. I thought they might be too large but I found that size easier for me to work with.

    5. Most of my dolls are over 60cm. They're actually too large and heavy for me but the sculptures I like are made for 60cm+ bodies. :(

    6. I prefer sdgr, sd16 or sd17 body.:dance

    7. I knew I wanted an SD sized doll from the start. Though when unboxing my first doll there absolutely was a moment of "hey, isn't this way too big?", haha. I love the presence they have in my room and I decided it'll be the only size I'll collect, as sharing clothes between dolls is very important to me. But I don't have any plans to go over 60cm.
Sadly I didn't have the opportunity to check out other doll sizes in real life yet, would love to hold an MSD some day.

    8. I prefer smaller sizes because they are easier to display IMO

    9. I prefer large size dolls, especially more than 60cm dolls. I love their looks and body shapes. I used to have mini size dolls, but now I only have SD dolls. Maybe SD fits to me☺️

    10. I don't have a BJD yet but I love bigger sizes of anything. For my first I want around 60 to 70 though I might go larger between 65 to 75 instead.
I think smaller sized dolls are cute, I have a Ymy/Obitsu doll that is about 11cm of the character I want to shell into a bjd and love looking at all the little clothes for them!

    11. I've found that I definitely prefer smaller dolls. My YoSD feels "bite-sized" and portable, while my SD13 feels bulky and meant for display only.

    12. I personally prefer SD size dolls around 60-70cm, they're really fun to interact with and a lot of the sculpts I love are for dolls around this size range too!

    13. If I had to choose, I would likely pick tinies. I actually prefer MSD/Big Baby size!

    14. I love the bigger dolls. I have MSD size but my 63cm boy is perfect to me :love I also like to cuddle my dolls while chilling sometimes and the SD size is perfect for that!

    15. I've owned basically every size group so far lol, so I'm pretty confident in my preferences now. I definitely prefer the MSD/40-45cm sized dolls! They are the perfect size for carrying around/handling for me.
I do still really like SD/60cm sized dolls though, even if they're a bit bigger than my ideal size. I often like these sculpts the best, and the size isn't so much that it bothers me.

Tiny sized dolls are usually not my thing, either because I don't care for the sculpts or because their bodies are a bit awkward due to the small size. The only exception to this has been my PukiPuki line doll, she's incredibly detailed and well made despite her tiny size, very easy to pose, and I adore her. But I likely won't ever get any other tiny dolls!
The big 70cm dolls are just too big for me lol. I tried owning one once, and as soon as I had him in hand I was like "Wow yeah no, way too big and unwieldy for me!". That said, I often see lots of really nice sculpts in 70cm! I just have to remind myself that I will hate actually owning one that size XD

    16. I wish I could like small dolls because then I could fit more in my room! It would also be easier to get props and not take too much space with those too. ((See Hussar Project in my signature if you wanna see how large of a horse I need to make for a 70cm guy))

I am constantly tempted by how many great tiny sculpts there are, but I haven't gotten one that I quite gelled with long-term compared to how some of my dolls are "teenagers" now.

But I like the heckin' big boys. 60cm+ It is the size I enjoy sewing for the most.

I enjoy 45cm (my first doll was that size), but it was hard to find mature males in that size at the time I started shifting to larger dolls. Sometimes I want to try the fashion minis that are available now, but I haven't found a face that speaks to me yet.

    17. My first doll was a tiny, but when I got my second doll, he was 60cm, and I was hooked! Most of My Crew are 60cm or larger. I have a few MSDs and one Yo-Sd, who will be my only one.

To me, 60cm and larger have more of a presence, and personality. MSDs and smaller seem to me to be more like...dolls, while the larger BJDs are little people. Does that make sense?

Plus, its easier to sew for larger dolls, and to find clothes for them.

    18. My first was big lil over 60cm. My second dolls were a pair of tinies.
I think for me I worry about smaller dolls losing a shoe or hat or something while im out because its so small. Also a lot of the fairyland tinies I own aren't too great at posing
But for the big SD i feel its hard to travel as well so MSD/MDD are the perfect size. MDD/MSD just have a good weight, posability and travel size for me

    19. im disabled and not very strong so i mostly own msd/slim mini dolls but i do have a tiny (a head and a body they dont match each other lol) the tiny body is small enough to fit into barbie clothes which makes shopping quite easy

    20. Minis are my preference when it comes to resin dolls. The smaller size and weight is definitely a huge benefit when it comes to displaying and taking them places for photos. Most of my larger dolls are vinyl. I have a few 60-70 cm bjds that I love very much, but they're just so....big! Unfortunately they spend 99% of their time sitting down in my closet. I get paranoid about displaying them since I live in earthquake territory. There's so much more mass that will impact if they fall compared to minis or tinies. I already had one take a tumble and he took some pretty horrific damage. :...(
