    1. I started with tiny dolls and only recently got an MSD sized doll. MSD seems huge at first although now I think I like MSDs more since I feel far more personality from them. I still like my tiny dolls due to storage and not having to spend so much time making clothes or wigs (I hand sew). SD seems to be too large, although this may be due to me never actually seeing or holding one in person.

    2. I started with a big boy and never really bonded with him, so I sold the head but kept the body. Now I will need some patience to restore it since it's yellowed and I need to restring it siiiighs But I'm not sure I'm keeping him. The 1/4 is much more appealing to me since I can actually carry my doll with me and it's not that heavy!

    3. Minis are so cute but I prefer large dolls as they are more mature.

    4. I like SDs a lot because of the maturity of their sculpts, but I'm going to have to say MSDs. I do want characters that are older than teenagers, and especially ones that don't look like children, but minis have a decent price point and I've reframed why I buy dolls recently. Now instead of characters with stories, I really want to buy dolls based on the vibe they give off and what I can do with them. This might turn out to be a failure and I might be unable to bond with them, but I'll figure that out when I get there, lmao.

    5. I'm all for the big dolls. I've had a couple of MSDs and one tiny doll, but no matter how I tried to enjoy them, I just couldn't get accustomed to how small they are in size and presence. I've sold/am selling all of them now.

The big ones are just so substantial in weight and presence, to me they feel like people not toys. Also, I like how big head sculpts have potential to be both grown-up adults and youthful, depending on aesthetics. I've only had 60-65cm dolls and I'm most comfortable with that size. 70cm-ish seems too big for me, although I'm eyeing some sculpts in that size and am trying to convince myself to make the jump to 70cm!

    6. My preference is more based on sculpt style and size ends up being secondary. But generally I like the bigger dolls.

I usually go for the 58-70 cm dolls because I tend to like the look of more mature sculpts. I wish I liked more 40-50cm range sculpts because I always see such adorable clothing for them and the cost difference is appealing! I also like YoSD as a size but I also have a hard time finding YoSD sculpts I want to own :sweat

    7. I only have large dolls at this time, but I am thinking to get a tiny one. It will be really funny when a tiny doll sit on the large one's arm!

    8. I love larger dolls and the bigger the better. But those tiny ones are amazing. I think a tiny might be my next one.

    9. I prefer larger sd dolls ranging from 65cm-75cm+ I like the clothing options they offer whether that be the cool clothing styles in taobao or the numerous great clothing makers on Etsy. Well it also helps that all of the sculpts I like are in that range. That being said I’m open to go lower like say msd as carrying around msds on trips seems easier a way more comfortable carrying companion. I don’t think I see myself going any lower than that sorry as it seems I’m totally uninterested in 39cm below.

    10. I like all sizes but tend to go with larger dolls (not intentionally).

    11. Larger dolls! big big big! Im waiting for my 80cm and im SO EXCITED, i cannot WAIT to get him and put him next to my others! My only angst is how few and far between really cool clothes/items are for 80cm! Ill find an AMAZING clothing set and it only gots up to 70cm TT_TT

    12. I have two Msd size dolls but my first and still one of favorites was a 1/8 size supiadoll, and I love my 1/12 Lati white sized dolls the most

    13. So far, I mostly have little ones! 1/4 and 1/6.
I love my little YOSDs so much, in part because it's so much easier to take them places with me for photos and such. Plus they're just adorable and I love holding them and cuddling them. I've just always loved little teeny tiny things, ever since I was a kid. (Love my little off-topic 1/12s as well).

I do enjoy larger dolls, too, though! I only have one so far, and he's been sitting around waiting for his custom faceup and everything else needed to complete his look for a while now. But he's so cute and I'm super excited to get around to giving him some attention this year! :aheartbea
Who knows, maybe I'll eventually come to prefer larger dolls! I really only jumped into the hobby around a year ago, so I'm still learning my preferences.

    14. I definitely prefer large dolls. They're just easier to work on and work with and I like the weight of large dolls. My smallest is 45cm and I can't really see myself owning anything smaller than that but honestly who knows.

    15. Honestly the smallest of my dolls is 60cm and I dont think I could go smaller than that. The presence that 60+cm dolls have just isnt something many things compare too for me. I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my 83cm boy he cant arrive soon enough.:kitty2

    16. I have a 1/4 girl, a 1/5 girl, and a 1/6 girl on the way. I don’t think I’ll go any bigger than 1/4, but I’d like some even smaller dolls since I like to take them out with me. I think 25 to 35 cm is perfect

    17. I have 2 MSD and a few tinies of different sizes, but most of my collection is SD and I vastly prefer it. I thought I'd like MSD best and find SD overwhelming large when I first started collecting but in the end the I liked the sculpts you tend to find in the larger sizes more, and I find it much easier to sew clothes for larger dolls.

    18. I think if space wasn't the issue, I might be more into bigger dolls, but as it is scarce, I only collect 1/4. I do prefer taller rather than shorter bodies, though, and find anything below 43cm way too flimsy and small. Looking forward for the day mini girls also get body options to be ~50cm tall!

    19. I do prefer the mini and YOSD sized dolls. I also have some very, very tiny dolls and a large doll which I also love. But the itty bittys are really hard for me to work with and no display room for the bigger ones. So I have mostly minis and YOSD sized dolls.

    20. When i bought my first BJD i thought, that i would only collect MSD sized dolls. But then i got curious on the other sizes and bought a 1/6 and a 1/3 sized one and fell in love with the big ones. I give my SD sized dolls the most attention so i decided i will only buy this size from now on :,) i also love my smaller ones but i probably won’t buy a doll under 55cm again.
