1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. yes I put some of my dolls but not all of them. I prefer to keep some of them as secrect ^^

    2. i love putting my dolls in databases. i like to see what other people can do with the same sculpt :)

    3. Even though my doll isn't really a custom I will still post a picture when the wig and shoes arrive, because it's fun to share. The database is great because it has changed my views on a lot of doll styles which I wouldn't have chosen to buy.

    4. When I eventually do get my dolls, I think I would put them in databases.

    5. I do tend to put mine in the databases, many times I have wanted to see a particular sculpt and that database has been a really good source, where I can see a lot of different ways a doll has been styled. Databases have many times helped me decide on or off a sculpt, and honestly I feel that thanks to the databases I have made choices that have been right for me and saved me from serious doll blunders. I have also used the databases when trying to track down a particular doll, and I remembered what sculpt it was, or just to browse the pretty that interests me at the moment. Lastly I enter the databases as a record of my dolls' characters and their histories. I am sure no one else is interested in who my dolls are, but it helps me keep track

    6. I put my dolls (well, actually a doll...) in databases only if I have a good picture of them.
Then I can see how it makes difference to other dolls with the same mold.

    7. I definitely do (although I wait until I've gotten a good picture), because I personally find them invaluable when it comes to making purchasing decisions.

    8. I love the database threads, and always look at them when 'checking' a decision to buy a particular doll or head. I also love to see what other people have done with the same sculpts I have.

I have not, however, posted my dolls to the database yet. Mostly because they're not finished. I got the first one several months ago, but I still haven't finished her faceup (well, I'm still not HAPPY with her faceup), and I'm still buying accessories for her. She just got her eyelashes, for example, two days ago. When she is finished, or at least, when she is looking her best, I will post her. Same with her sisters. :)

    9. I sure do. ^___^ I see it as a "do onto others" thing, as I love browsing the database to look at molds I am curious about. So I do my part! ;)

    10. Now that Anne is almost just how I want her, she'll be going into the AA database. She got a new faceup and a new wig and new eyes, so she's almost ready. ^_^

    11. I usually only put them in the database when I am completely happy that they represent their characters perfectly and have the right bodies, face-ups, outfits, etc. I have three in so far, with another two almost there. I hope to get all of them in eventually. :sweat

    12. Two of mine are and I plan to eventually put the others in. Just waiting for either looks to be complete or that one perfect picture.

    13. I agree with siriusstar.
I haven't put any of my dolls into databases yet, but I will once I'm happy with the way that they look; the right faceups, bodies, clothing, etc.

    14. I find the database very useful so I made my contribution.

With my first boy I sat with him for a good week determining his personality, there's lots about him that I won't share in the database just yet. But the normal, eyes, hair, race, Arrival date/Birthday I did input along with a photo. I'll probably update and change the photo as time goes on so folks can see how he's changed.

I love seeing all the different dolls with different eyes, hair, make up. I love seeing the uniqueness and it helps me figure out if I want a particular doll or not :XD:.

    15. I'm going to put my doll in the database when she arrives and is dressed and wigged and sussed out a bit. I looked at the Luts KD database and there's only two of this sculpt in there </3 they both look quite different, too, and mine will have a different colour/length wig, so I'm happy to be providing a bitttt of variety to the thread with a /bit/ of a different take on this sculpt.

I don't have many plans for customisation so I don't think I need to wait until she's /done/. I'll update the post if I change her, but since I don't know what I'd change her to at the moment there's no excuse for not posting her :P

    16. I put all of my bjds to the database. Why? Because I myself like browsing the database just to look at the lovely dolls owned by other DoA members and also want to share photos and info of my dolls. I think its just fair to do so. :)

    17. I always do except for the one I can't >_< It's like a little doll ID card and a welcoming ritual for me :)

    18. I try to make sure my dolls are in at least the head mold databases, because I find those so usefull. I really like to see owner pictures of dolls if Im trying to decide on buying one and when a database is empty and the gallery so hard to search..it can get annoying. >.<

    19. I put my two boys into databases because its cool and fun to see other people's resin!charges and how different the same sculpt can be made to look! From scars to wigs to faceups, its interesing!:)

    20. I don't put them in the databases, but I don't have any specific reason for not doing so. I haven't had a lot of time to take new pictures and do new faceups, but I will when I have the opportunity. :D
